"A Million Thanks" goes toward a lot of people today.

I was fortunate enough today to go and visit my grandmother's new digs in Atlanta today. She has moved into a "senior living facility" which she made clear multiple times is not an "assisted living facility" because she is still fully independent.

And let me tell you, I want to live in this place. It is a resort! Swimming pool, 3 dinning rooms, movie theatre, the works.

We had lunch with her and my family in one of the dining rooms. It was so nice. I'm really jealous.

After we had a short visit with her, it was off to shoe shopping! I needed a new pair of boots badly since my old one have holes in the bottom.

Then it was time for my last dinner with my dear Maddalena DeBeni. She is moving out of Atlanta and basically moving to Hong Kong full time. I couldn't be more happy for her but I don't have a bunch of "girl" friends and she is the best one a girl could ask for her. She is cute, funny, talented, mature but just like a crazy big kid, and she has my whole heart.

So we met her and her dad at this cool little pizza place downtown. Supposedly one of the 10 best pizza places in the country.

I was super impressed by not only the pizza but the over crowded crazy kitchen table style dining room. We sat next closer to complete strangers then most would be comfortable listening to blaring Italian music.

As bitter sweet as it was to see my friend until who knows how long, I had a great day and I hope she knows how special she is.
