2023 roid week day 6

Manipulated Polaroid 600 film

Swell Art Festival, Currumbin, Gold Coast, Australia

The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world.”

~ Unknown ~

When I saw the multiple huts on the crest of the hill, the sight made me stop to take a look. It seemed like a natural when it came to a shot but more was needed in the image. It occurred to me that recently dandylions had been recategorized from weeds to flowers so that could be my foreground. The change is to prevent the city from spraying in public areas like parks and playground areas in favour of children. Hence, this is one "Dandy" of a shot.

Dandelions have always been a flower that was more interesting when it went to seed.

I think it is so unappreciated until one gets close and truly looks at the flower.

I had some fun over a few days and really enjoyed catching the Dandelion Seeds in various light and conditions.

Some see a field of Dandelions as 100's of weeds.

I see Dandelions as Thousands of Wishes.

AHA, but which is FINE and which is DANDY? LOL.

For the most part, carnations express love, fascination, and distinction.

I love the drama here created by the purple edges and all the frilly detail in those 'feathered' beauties...

It is the Carnation, very fragrant...

In the Victorian language of flowers it symbolises gallantry.

Light red carnations represent admiration, while dark red denote deep love and affection.

Purple carnations indicate capriciousness. In France, it is a traditional funeral flower, given in condolence for the death of a loved one.

In France and Francophone cultures, carnations symbolise misfortune and bad luck.

Have a gentle day and thank you for viewing, Magda (*_*)
