Taken from the perspective of an ant on the ground as the rising sun passes through the centre of the seeding Dandelion.
With Pancolar, as it is the case with the most of other lenses, the bokeh changes with distance from the object and the background. Come close enough, and it is smooth and silky with no swirl whatsoever.
Shoot in direct sunlight. Lot of boosting in RawTherapee is done to get back contrast and colors, but the information was there in the raw file.
I was hoping to take a portrait of my nephew, but shooting at high noon was not a good idea. I found this instead. At 3-4 inches wide and 4 feet high, she looks much softer and delicate close-up than she did on the side of a driveway.
Dandelions are cliche, no?

You throw it, I get it, no matter what, no matter where,
no matter how, no matter when, no matter why.
I'm your guy.
Bye-bye.

Have a nice Saturday.
One of a million dandelions surrounding our village.
(I have actually since checked as to whether or not these are dandelions, but apparently they are not. I have just always thought of them as dandelions! I'll keep checking to see what they really are.)
(More recent information. - I have found a lot of references to this being something called Arctotheca Calendula - aka - Capeweed, Cape Dandelion, Cape Marigold and Plain Treasure.)
It's been quite some time since I have just carried my camera and shot somethings that I have observed. No tabletop shots, no tripod, just handheld looking at the beauty that is so. The luxury of watching the light change and wrap around the subjects like a hug. We all need a hug about now and I hope you feel warm and giggle a little as you picture me laying across a neighbor's lawn to get this dandelion.
We were outside playing in the yard during the golden hour and I asked my daughter to blow a dandelion. My sweet dog daisy was curious as to what was happening and walked right into the shot, totally unplanned. The weed and feed is going on the lawn this week so soon enough the dandelions will be gone. I added a bunch of haze to the image because the light coming over Daisy is almost blown out, technically not a strong image but I love it all the same.
