"Sweet summer lovin' in the dandelions

Sweet summer lovin' keeps me high as candy wine"

I adore the words to this song by my all time favorite Dolly!

I could be fairly blamed that i shoot the ladies more than the men.. And it is not because the men could slap me - simply at everage women are more revealing at the their faces, i think...

Well to compensate for that - a man:-)))

A different perspective on a dandelion flower.

Time for a haircut.

I added an additional extension tube to my macro lens to get even closer to my subject. This dandy got pulled apart by the breeze before my photo shoot ended. I am still floundering around trying to find a direction for my project but for now it is just a weird mess of disconnected items.

Have a nice Sunday, dear friends ... and enjoy the tiny things ;-)))

"How you feeling, Clancy?"

Just dandy!

(Dad asked me to sit if front of the dandelions for a photo and when I plopped down on top of them he got an eyeful. Me, too!)

work and life have been hectic lately, and i haven't had much time to get out and about with my camera .... spending some time with a friend, i was stuck without an internet connection, but at least had my laptop with me ... he was curious how i play around with images, so we picked some textures at random, and then an unknown image at random, and guess what came up? ... not my favorite flower ... grrrr ... but it was fun showing him how things work with pse5 ... i played with the textures and then a bit of orton, and here is the result ....again, not my favorite flower, but it did help the time pass.

hopefully things will be less hectic soon, and i'll have a chance to get to what i enjoy ... your photostreams! .... until that time!

Dandy came up to me and the sun coming through the window just skimmed the top of his head. Kept everything else in shadow giving him a darker look.

Buzzer the bee found a lovely dandelion to sample the sweetness held within.

"Sweet Dandelion"

Oh' poorly weed I need,

Oh' lovely flower of mine,

Oh' dreamy nectar so devine,

Oh' sweet little dandelion.

Dandelion leaves can be eaten raw or cooked.

They are full of vitamins, A, C, K, and K, also iron, calcium and potassium.

The roots can be used for tea or coffee, personally I won't be trying this.

The flowers also can be eaten raw or baked, I won't be trying that method either. 😂

No wonder the insects like these flowers, they know what's good for them. 🐝

AHA, but which is FINE and which is DANDY? LOL.

For the most part, carnations express love, fascination, and distinction.

In the Victorian language of flowers,it symbolises gallantry.

Light red carnations represent admiration, while dark red denote deep love and affection.

Purple carnations indicate capriciousness. In France, it is a traditional funeral flower, given in condolence for the death of a loved one.

In France and Francophone cultures, carnations symbolise misfortune and bad luck.

Have a gentle day and thank you for viewing, Magda (*_*)
