This is my latest version to the Dandy-Ball... Which I used dandelion again, with a few bits of plant leaves placed in a small dish and for the background, I used the back of a small red transistor radio, that seemed to create the effect of a lifebuoy, in the way I positioned the angle of the kaleidoscope front lens!

Having fun and got lost in a kaleidoscopic world...

So do keep cool and stay safe, my flickr friends !!!

For being a dumb weed, dandelions are pretty smart..

I sat in the yard, looking for bees and I watched this one as it closed up shop for the night. Amazing how they protect themselves in the cold weather.

I used my 100mm macro lens plus 36mm and 12mm extension tubes so I could get really close to the dandelion. The beauty of nature never disappoints when you slow down to examine the details. I know that dandelion images are overdone but I just can't help shoot them when I find them. What is a photo subject that you can't resist shooting?

After a photo of the female Mandarin duck, here is the male. It's hard to believe that their colours get even more intense during mating season. For the moment they don't have to impress anybody and live rather peacefully in a larger group of Mandarins.
