Obviously not on a cucumber in our garden but on a fall aster.
We do have cucumbers in our garden every year.
Lots of lemon cucumbers this season! The skin is a bit tougher than I remember, but they sure are good!
A very popular var. in Japan and becoming highly recommended in our garden. Fruits were 12" long, slender, easy to digest (?burpless), crisp, and very tasty. Spines wash off easy. Vines are quite short, perfect for smaller gardens.
Growing in a container in my back yard. This one shows the little tiny cucumbers beginning to appear.
When pulling out my spent cucumber vines, I notices nodules on the roots. This could be bad or Real Bad. We'll see.

My wife has been making pickles this week. Here are some of the cucumbers used in the project. The cucumbers came from her garden.
we're getting 2-3 cucumbers a day now, I have 7 in the crisper at the moment... I need to find a pickle recipe
I found an old packet filled with hundreds of seeds so I tested four seeds in a cup to see if they were viable. Needless to say, all four seeds grew. When they're a tad bigger, I will be transferring them to a very large pot so that they can produce cucumbers all summer long.
