Boxing day 2015 and floods hit large areas of West Yorkshire. Meanwood beck is one of the the primary minor tributaries of the Aire in Leeds, draining uplands north of the city. Though minor in comparison to the serious flooding in the city centre (which itself pales to insignificance compared to the Calder Valley) the flooding here shows just how saturated the Aire catchments were.
