Sunrise is a regular Psy-trance event in Leeds for which I am invited to do the photography. I use a slow-sync shutter effect for these nights to capture the lights and ambience while maintaining a crisp foreground subject.

Well this is a first for a few things. New LA-EA2 adapter for my Nex C3 with my sony A mount 50mm f1.4 and also trying the beta of Photoshop CS6.

The castle was built around 1526 by the Lindsay family, making use of an existing 14th century keep. It sheltered David Lindsay after he had killed Lord Spynie in Edinburgh (1607), following a long-standing quarrel; and also James Carnegie, Lord Balnamoon, who was being sought by government troops after the Battle of Culloden (1746).
