A friend of mine wrote a post on Facebook about the FE and FM.
There are some "cousins" that are noteworthy. Two of them are pictured below. The FA and FM3a. Excellent cameras and worthy successors to their older "cousins".
Taken with a Nikon D600 using the AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm f3.5-4.5G. Converted in CS6.
So I've been playing with Photoshop CS6 lately... This photo was edited in Color Negative in Curves using Photoshop.
Here is a still from what will be a trade show video. The problem is that the longitudinal lines are a bit wobbly, especially near the poles, for instance in the top right quadrant, between the orange and yellow earplugs.
I have created a new 3D object with the preset sphere from a layer that is a grid of my client's products. As the sphere rotates, the black edges of the grid straighten out as they come around to the front, and then get wobbly again as they approach the edge of the sphere. At first, I made the black part of the grid from a bitmap mask, but no, same problem when I made the grid from a vector mask.
Pretty sure it is not a hardware issue as I have gone thru all the optimization steps for using the Mercury Graphics Engine on my quad-core machine with a supported video card, and the latest version of OSX.
Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks!

Olympus 8mm fisheye corrected in the new adaptive wide angle correction filter in CS6.
Really crappy image, but best I had on the HDD to proper show how it works.
Taken at the HSCC Gold Cup at Oulton Park in Cheshire. Still trying to learn post processing in lightroom and cs6.
Revisited panoramic with updated software and vignetting editing. I'll leave the previous up for comparative purposes.
