These two ladies were being filmed crossing the bridge. The film camera is out of sight to my right, I wasn't quick enough! The lady on the left does look kind of familiar.

This is the D3716 gravel road looking north towards the Spitzkoppe Nature Reserve. It's normally completely empty with barely a handful of cars passing by every hour. On our second night in Namibia, we were brought to a standstill by these local goats gingerly making their way across the road.
Grosse Spitzkoppe is the peak on the left of the photo. The Pontok Mountains are straight ahead.
The bridge crossing from St Marys river on Highway 17 in Georgia into Florida about 8 mile from my home.
One benefit of the stay at home order is that as I can not go out and take new photographs I have been working some of my old files with some much cooler tools and leaner results! This one was taken in 2009.

Looking from Ranier, Minnesota into Fort Frances, Ontario, a stack track crosses the famed cantilever bridge over the Rainy River at the top of the CN Rainy Subdivision. The train is a moment from passing the international boundary, and you can see a small sign on the bridge deck that designates the exact spot. The wind is blowing like crazy today with occasional whitecaps on the water. Snow is about to start flying, too, making for some typical yet wacky weather.
The bridge is a historic structure spanning Rainy River and built in 1908. The structure lifts similar to the motion of a rocking chair adding to the uniqueness of the bridge. It played a key role in bootlegging activity during Prohibition. The nearby Cantilever Distillery & Hotel acts as a tribute to the local history and the role of the bridge in American history.
The ponies, cattle, donkeys and, at pannage time, pigs** who live free in the New Forest have, of course, no traffic sense. There are no fences so inevitably, and sadly, a number are killed on the roads every year. This pony made it safely to the other side.
**Every autumn, when the acorns, chestnuts etc have fallen from the trees, domestic pigs (usually owned by commoners) are let out into the New Forest National Park to eat the nuts. This is called ‘pannage' or ‘common of mast’. It is important because the nuts are poisonous to the other animals who live in the Forest.

This was shot at the same intersection as the last photo I posted, but from a different perspective. I was wandering around looking for things that caught my eye when I saw this scene from a block away. I immediately knew I wanted to get some photos of it.
There were a couple other photographers at the intersection when I got there. I'm happy to know there are other people out there like me, that enjoy going out in bad weather to take photos.
