Summit of the Gurnigelpass (1600 meters above sea) on a clear night. The environment is completely lit by the fullmoon. It's a so called 'supermoon', when the distance the the earth is the shortest possible, which makes him (apparently) shine up to 30% brighter.

The peaks in the background (from left) are: Nünenen, Gantrisch, Bürglen and Ochsen.

We had perfect sunny weather while in Whistler this week.

This suspension bridge was part of a hike we went on. It was the bounciest bridge I've been on. I thought of setting up a tripod on the bridge to shoot the creek below, but that thought disappeared after a second or two :)

Today, back home, we finally have some rain that we so badly need.

Crossing Brooklyn Bridge by foot over the East River from Brooklyn to Manhattan (visible in the background).

We were on our way home from downtown, crossing the Lions Gate Bridge going to North Vancouver, and as always, I had my camera. You can see the mountains in the distance. It was a sunny day with lovely clouds in the sky, so I decided to do an ICM of the bridge as we were driving across it. The light was shining on the cables. I've photographed this bridge so many times, but it looks a bit different this time :)

I captured the candid image that became "Crossing the Line," while wandering the Loop in downtown Chicago, Illinois, on a bright and sunny September 14, 2018.

All what is left of the former Kettle Valley Railway track at Chute Lake are the crossing signs. The track itself has been converted to a long-distance bike trail.

This wonderful old farm track crosses Glendarragh in the Wicklow Hills. No one seems to go there and its a hidden gem. I do it as part of a 10km looped trail and it rises steadily to 240m till it levels out on this 3km stretch at the top. Home is all downhill from here which is best!

I went up here on Wednesday but it wasnt a fine day. I spotted this lovely scene so I went back on Thurs to take it. Mind you, I dont need an excuse as its good for the madness.

The tree is an old Ash which has been sculpted perfectly by the weather and the mountain is Djoice. There is a track just visible on its right hand side. And the Sheep? Its got a piece of wool stuck on its face.

Ive started to take down a lot of my older photos as Ive too many on here and most people, including many friends dont bother going back a few pages to look at them which is a pity as I do go back through other peoples photos. Some friends here asked me where I had been and welcomed me back! I havent been anywhere. Ive been here on Flickr faving and commenting on others stuff which is what we are supposed to do.It only takes a minute really! I just havent put up many photos recently as its just lovely to look at other people photos and be inspired by them and it gives me more time.

Do stay safe my friends and look after and be kind to one another.

Im staying right here to "Wander among the Wicklow Hills" with Christy Moore;

Look at every path closely and deliberately, then ask ourselves this crucial question: Does this path have a heart? If it does, then the path is good. If it doesn't, it is of no use. Carlos Castaneda

This is somewhere between Gillette and Rawlins Wyoming, windy as I traversed from I-90 to I-80, I believe this was south of Casper on WY 220. I've never driven this route before, so a bit of a new adventure that I'll avoid in winter. The load I was hauling was pretty heavy, GVW (gross vehicle weight) just under 80, 000 lbs so the wind wasn't too much of a problem. The strange thing is the disorientating effect the snow had as it moved across the road, it visually felt like I wasn't moving, an optical illusion, I had to look into the distance to avoid the uncomfortable feeling it created. I've run across this at night and it's even worse.

Watching the wildebeest river crossing was unbelievable. It was fast, and loud and crazy!

Happy Wing Wednesday!

I like crossing the imaginary boundaries people set up between different fields: it's very refreshing.
