Coal loads C-NAMNMA, bound for New Madrid, MO, start down the BNSF River Sub. The train is crossing Old US Route 66 in Shrewsbury, MO and the bridge retains its Ship It on the Frisco markings. 30 April 2022.

After doing the loop around town, L549 takes the Manistique sub over the Escanaba River back to towards Gladstone Yard where it's crew will terminate.
The sun has just slipped behind a clearing in the storm clouds and behind the Rocky Mountains as a westbound BNSF coal load begins it's assault on the Rockies at the first gated crossing west of Helena, Montana on a stormy summer night. The crossing gate activation is captured in this 30-second long exposure.

This is the first time I have seen a Horse crossing the ford,
and this is the first time this Horse has ever been across a
Ford.
It did well.
T4 stops to flag a malfunctioning crossing after a collision with a truck, allowing us time to leapfrog ahead.
CN L536 rolls underneath the former LS&MS and PRR (PFW&C) bridges and the Chicago Skyway at Grand Crossing. Before grade separation in 1907, Grand Crossing consisted of 64 diamonds with over 500 train movements a day. In addition, the intersection of 75th and South Chicago was located at grade with the IC just due north of the junction. It was once known as the most dangerous railroad crossing in the world.
