After doing the loop around town, L549 takes the Manistique sub over the Escanaba River back to towards Gladstone Yard where it's crew will terminate.
Another one of my deer shots. I know this deer didn't live long after these
shots and he definately wanted his last shots to be beautiful so hopefully
I captured him in this light.......
This is eerie, but this deer just kept circling in front of us. I noticed in
the pictures that this deer, like my dad was blind in one of his eyes.
My dad died of Leukemia....
My dad was an avid deeer hunter who wanted to be with us on Thanksgiving.........
I went for a walk in the nearby woods and came across this dog, Harvard, guarding the bridge across a small bridge while his owner sat in the sun. He soon gave way, though, and let me pass.

66161 crossing Chirk Viaduct with 6W04, an engineers working from Shrewsbury, taking spoil from platform 4 as part of the re-railing of the station platforms, heading for Crewe Basford Hall.

Multanomah Falls was totally worth the 40+ min wait on the street for parking. I have been waiting to get back to this place and get a close up shot of the bridge with the falls in the foreground and background.

I met up with Neil Hulme this morning (who was looking remarkably good despite having 4.5 litres of whisky bought him for his 50th birthday yesterday!). We had a wander up Great Intake with the intention of shooting down toward Little Langdale but the light over to The Langdale Pikes was just too good to ignore.
Rio Grande 3105 and companion UP 3723 a rather odd combination for the LJF51 local cross Roubideau Creek where it joins the Gunnison River.
The Severn Bridge (Welsh: Pont Hafren), sometimes also called the Severn-Wye Bridge is a motorway suspension bridge spanning the River Severn and River Wye between Aust, South Gloucestershire (just north of Bristol) in England, and Chepstow, Monmouthshire in South East Wales, via Beachley, Gloucestershire, a peninsula between the two rivers. It is the original Severn road crossing between England and Wales and took three and half years[3] to construct at a cost of £8 million.[4] It replaced the Aust ferry.
The bridge was opened on 8 September 1966, by Queen Elizabeth II, who hailed it as the dawn of a new economic era for South Wales. The bridge was granted Grade I listed status on 26 November 1999.[5]

Fantastic light late afternoon, almost the same location as the shot pulished previously, only 2 days prior and about 30 mins earlier.

The source of the smoke wafting through the scene was not visible, but driving through the landscape i came across the odd little field that had stubbles cleared in preparation for the next crop. A common seasonal problem slowly starting at this time of year, but during the time of my visit only sporadic. The burning is often the only affordable means for normal farmers, but besides depleting the soil of nutrients long term the pollution it causes is a major problem throughout SE Asia. Due to then many more fires coupled with climatic conditions between January and April bad air builds up. Bangkok air during this time of year is frequently hazardous by WHO standards.
