Groepsfoto voor school. In plaats van allemaal die muzikanten, heb ik een onderwerp gekozen dat mij nauwer aan 't hart ligt: gamers :D

Group shot for school. Instead of all the musicians you see in group shots, i wanted something else, something more original, so i chose something that is more dear to me: gamers :D

I made this drawing in less than a hour. It is a design for a

irrigation controller which checks the soil conductivity and opens

waters the plant if the soil is too dry. The parts listed in the

schematic should cost less than $20 and that includes a printed

circuit board. The big expense outside of the actual controller

circuit is the solenoid valve which I do not include in the

schematic. Another $20 there.

One of the rides brought us out through the Thomas Land shop and the Fat Controller was just outside. The little boys face is a picture!

Quadrotor Flight Controller class at the HiTech STEM Lab at the East Columbia Branch of the HCLS. The purpose of the class is to introduce students to quadcopters through hand-on learning. The studets investigated the physics behind multirotor liftoff, stabilization, direction of flight, and landing the aircraft. Students worked in teams to assemble the

propulsion system and wire the flight controller and power system. Students honed their flight skills through a flight simulator before flight testing their builds in the final class.

This drawing show the hole hardware interface between the MAX II CPLD controller and all the needed outputs. Components are ordered and will soon be delivered. This should match the mechanical drawings of the hole design. As usual, I make this layout via wiring on hole pcb print raster 2.54mm. A lot of work but the results are very good and reliable.

Most of the function are already programmed and tested into the CPLD board. Ofcourse multiple functions are used into the past so only a few new are to develop.

Update 2010 nov 05

Endversion, ready to wire on the pcb.

I faced the wires down and made an effort to seal the blank cover of the replacement controller with silicon. Wiring pushes against the motor this way and it is not as neat, but hopefully it's waterproof.

A Ray Wilson Micro analog keyboard controller. took me a day to make the wooden case my first attempt at such a thing very proud, and a day to assemble the circuit and electronics great little kit !

Inspired by kriseattle22's Cabinet For A Gaming Geek, I retrofitted controller storage onto our cabinet.

That's the Heirloom Audio Pier (aka Heirloom Entertainment Pier With Door) from Target. I have added pieces from elfa's Platinum Door & Wall Rack System: the Mounted Standard (37-3/4") with Deep Baskets (17-1/8" x 5-1/4" x 5-1/2" h) attached.

These are the 'regular' PS3 Controllers I have. Two of them are official Sony Six-Axis, Dual-Shock ones while the other one is somewhat of a cheap-knockoff (But still works well!).

So I guess I have a total of..5 controllers? Comes in handy when you have friends / guests round :)

The original PlayStation controller did not have analog sticks. Instead, it had one of the worst D-pads I’ve seen, with each direction being a fake button. Instead of using letters or numbers to indicate the buttons, the PSX gamepad uses Square, Triangle, Circle, and X. It also brought back the “Select” button, which had been missing since the SNES. The PlayStation also decided that having just two shoulder buttons wasn’t enough and had a total of four shoulder buttons.

An old 1.5Ghz computer is used to control the haunt, using Frightmare Haunt Controller software.

NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube

The original XBox controller was designed by people with hands, unfortunately, those hands were the size of Andre the Giant’s. This thing is big and heavy. Easily frustrated people should avoid using this controller, because it is likely to cause severe damage to anything it hits when thrown.
