Quadrotor Flight Controller class at the HiTech STEM Lab at the East Columbia Branch of the HCLS. The purpose of the class is to introduce students to quadcopters through hand-on learning. The studets investigated the physics behind multirotor liftoff, stabilization, direction of flight, and landing the aircraft. Students worked in teams to assemble the
propulsion system and wire the flight controller and power system. Students honed their flight skills through a flight simulator before flight testing their builds in the final class.

Not released yet but a useful option for Steam controller users.

The original PlayStation controller did not have analog sticks. Instead, it had one of the worst D-pads I’ve seen, with each direction being a fake button. Instead of using letters or numbers to indicate the buttons, the PSX gamepad uses Square, Triangle, Circle, and X. It also brought back the “Select” button, which had been missing since the SNES. The PlayStation also decided that having just two shoulder buttons wasn’t enough and had a total of four shoulder buttons.

One of the rides brought us out through the Thomas Land shop and the Fat Controller was just outside. The little boys face is a picture!

One of my other hobbies, although I don't play that often since having kids, are video games. This controller was the one that came with my original Xbox 360 that eventually decided that it would rather not work anymore and heat up to the point that the graphics processor BGA desoldered from the board. It's still my preferred controller.
This shot was harder to get to work than I thought it would be, the lighting isn't that great in my living room so I kept either getting the shot underexposed or blurry. This was the best one I came up with out of my attempts.

Inspired by kriseattle22's Cabinet For A Gaming Geek, I retrofitted controller storage onto our cabinet.
That's the Heirloom Audio Pier (aka Heirloom Entertainment Pier With Door) from Target. I have added pieces from elfa's Platinum Door & Wall Rack System: the Mounted Standard (37-3/4") with Deep Baskets (17-1/8" x 5-1/4" x 5-1/2" h) attached.
The interface is ready for soldering. All the extra features come in the MAX II board, as peggyback board. See the hole range of MAX II connectors. This CPLD MAX II board is my Standard hardware unit.
The interface board has 71x160mm and is mounted inside the frame. A few extra external flatcables are needed for the external modules like the LCD display, the IR controller into the optical lens and the highpower drive for the external shutter unit. All batteries are also external so they can rapid exchange for loading. The external flashes ( max 3 x SB80/SB800) are all driven into TTL mode so I can adjust the flashpower into the field by turning on one power button on the frame.

The Real Canadian Superstore located at 411 Confederation Drive uses a GT 1175 Whisper Slider from NABCO Entrances. Inside, there's a cool microprocessor controller that essentially controls each function of the door. For some reason, the door's panel was left exposed, which allowed me to take this picture.
An original Nintendo controller complete with cord.
Everything is completely handmade and edible, from the direction pad to the A and B buttons, as well as the cord.
Chocolate mudcake, layered and covered with chocolate ganache.
This controller is often ridiculed, but I feel that most of the criticism is unfounded. I actually sort of like this controller. I find it comfortable. The keypad with overlay support is a bit retro, but perhaps they just wanted to kick it old school. It does make games like Alien vs. Predator or Iron Soldier, where there are lots of weapon selections, very convenient to play. The three action buttons are labeled C, B, and A, and the aux buttons in the middle are marked “Pause” and “Option”. All in all, it feels somewhat inspired by the Lynx. Strangely, the connector plug is a VGA Monitor plug. The only negative thing I have to say about this controller is that when you play most of the games on the Jaguar, you’ll definitely notice the lack of an analog stick. I can’t really knock too many points off for that, though, since nothing had analog sticks at the time, it wasn’t until the N64 came out a few years later that people realized you needed analog control for 3D games.
It is big, I’ll give it that, but it’s actually roughly the same size as the Dreamcast controller or the original XBox monster pad. It’s also fairly light because it’s mostly empty inside, unlike the lead-lined Duke.

Made this XBOX360 console and controller for my son's 13th birthday today. Not as detailed as I would have liked, but overall pleased. Controller made from rice crispies. Cake is a yummy chocolate cake filled with chocolate gananche and whipped cookies and cream filling..
