With the release of Tron: Legacy came all the associated goods. One of the products that I am more than fine owning that is Tron related? My Tron PS3 controller. It actually makes me happier to play any video game holding this thing.

As mentioned earlier, the elevators in the hotel were modernized ca. 1998 during major renovations. The original electro-mechanical elevator controller which was long obsolete was replaced with this MCE controller. It is actually a rather simple controller, despite having both a front and side door in the cab, and despite having the unusual "Sabbath" mode. Modernizing the elevators was likely very expensive for the owners of the hotel, but, it was unlikely that the previous controller, without even fire service, would have provided adequate passenger service (assuming it could even be powered back on and brought up to code).

I got this off Amazon and my hands were quickly covered in glue off the back of the strip that wouldn't come off with soap and water, nail varnish remover, citrus cleaner or kitchen cleaner! Won't buy this again!
I faced the wires down and made an effort to seal the blank cover of the replacement controller with silicon. Wiring pushes against the motor this way and it is not as neat, but hopefully it's waterproof.

The Mattel Aquarius Controller is the direct descendant of the Intellivision’s hand controller. They took out the side buttons and cut the number pad in half and made it pluggable, but left the pain-inducing disc in the same place. That’s okay, though, because there isn’t actually anything you’d want to play on the Aquarius, so it doesn’t matter how bad the Mattel Aquarius Controller sucks.
Then again, the system does have a version of Tron: Deadly Discs.

This is an RGB controller for 16 RGB LEDs. It is based on the TLC5940 PWM LED controller and an ATTiny44. Those who read the datasheet for the TCL5940 or have used it in the past will say "wait, 16 RGB LEDs on ONE TLC5940?". Actually, the setup could control 32 RGB LEDs and still look acceptable. I am strobing the RGB anodes with power, and connecting the TLC5940 to common cathodes. This is intensive for the AVR because it must shift out the whole array and activate the new PWM settings before switching to the next color. It does work rather well, if you don't need dot correction. The normal approach to this array would use three TLC5940 chips for each row, which isn't acceptable for my 24x16 array. That would require 72 driver chips doing it the "right" way. My way requires only 12 driver chips (one TLC5940 controls 32 RGB LEDs = 96 individually PWM controlled LED elements).
