In this picture, the warm colors of yellow and red dominate over the cool blues and greens on top of the neutral browns. The highly saturated yellow Nintendo 64 controller makes said controller the focus of this image. The straight lines arranged diagonally move the eyes from the lower left corner into the middle of the composition where the controller resides. The use of curvaceous lines creates the shape of the controller also suggesting a sense of playfulness. In this image, the background is the pillow and the foreground is the hand holding the controller. Lighting and textural gradients give this photograph depth due to the shadows of light and dark around the bottom right and the varying textures of cloth and plastic, The balance of the composition is fairly symmetrical although it could be argued that more “virtual weight” resides on the left side.
