Continuing the Californio tradition we welcome visitors from other camps.

Christian loves taking series of me. It's too bad the slideshow function on Flickr is too slow for you to enjoy it in full effect. When I click through them at home, it totally looks like I'm animated.

As the fight continues, I know what the end result will be as I have seen this happen on a daily basis. Choco will win the fight - he has behaviour problems from a previous owner and won't stop fighting till he wins. At the left of the picture, Moushka looks on and stays right out of the action. 3:10pm, Saturday 23rd July, 2011.

We continue to be extremely appreciative of the assistance BGE received from other utilities in our response to Hurricane Sandy, and we are now in a position to provide support to those still in need.

I took this photo during Hurricane Sandy.

The hatter took this pic too, and it's pretty good. I guess there is a good view from the roof.

But it could all have gone very wrong. I imagined myself being grilled by Chief Inspector Barnaby's Irish cousin, Chief Inspector Blarney of the Gardai: "two women lying dead beneath an open window on the third floor, and you two men and this strange woman expect us to believe they just climbed out the window and along the drainpipe because they wanted to see the view from the roof?!!! Do you take the police for complete idiots, Mr. 2cents?"

I wouldn't have believed me either!

(by the way, if you look at this in the largest size you'll see a huge Grey Heron beneath the bridge)

Our second stop that day was the Goonies house, which was up a steep hill in Astoria. There were signs requesting that people park down below and walk up to the house.

Continuing the theme.. more Chicago I found in the archives.

Continuing with the project idea which started with Yarmouth a while back.

This time a wander around Shanklin (as suggested by Sue) before it gets too cold.

Did not get all the locations that I had planned as I managed to drop camera down some stone steps.... several sickening crunches later realised that organising a lens repair was in order.... :(

The Association of Rice Alumni and the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies hosted Classroom Connect 2018 on Saturday, April 21. The event featured lectures by some of Rice's top experts, faculty-led immersive learning experiences, and opportunities to network and connect with fellow attendees.

I got some "daylight simulating" bulbs and OH MY GOD are they blindingly bright. I have no natural light inside so I really need to be able to use my lightbox in a pinch, but I have trouble getting it lit up enough/evenly. I need at least one more lamp.

(I constructed this DIY lightbox, nicknamed Quasimodo, from this tutorial.)

The Continuing Education Program offers courses open to the community and certificate programs in Art and Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography, and Web Design, and a Combined Web and Graphic Design Certificate. All students and faculty in the Continuing Education Program were invited to participate in this, the Sixteenth Annual exhibition which spotlights the work and assignments completed through the coursework in the program. A reception was held in conjunction with Wilmington's Art Loop on April 4, 2014. The exhibition will be up in DCAD's Toni & Stuart B. Young Gallery until April 25. As always, the gallery is free and open to the public.
