As you can see from my photographs work has resumed on the multi-million Greystones harbour and marina development project, with the first of more than 350 new homes expected to be offered for sale by April 2016. Because of the weather I did not photograph the new houses. The project has already seen the old Victorian era harbour replaced by a new structure with south and north piers, a large marina and ongoing work on five new clubhouses for sea scouts, divers, sailors, rowers and anglers. Also included in the project is a coastguard station, a new town square, a 16-acre public park, a new beach and marine-related shops and leisure facilities. It should be interesting to see if the ‘Public Areas’ are truly public and if the remain so for more than a year or two … I say this because there are many signs indicating that Fishing, Swimming or Jumping was not allowed. I will visit again later in the year, assuming that the weather improves.
Here comes our VOLVO EC-360 showing jaws at demolition site. It was a large redevelopment project that our company used to manage back in 2008.The goal was to dismantle an old factory's facilities situated in the historical centre of St.Petersburg to prepare the site for the construction of GAZPROM skyscraper.
The place where I took this photo is not far from the site where the first Neandertal man (Homo neanderthalensis) was found.
Construction workers atop masses of rods and scaffolding and what not. Wish I could capture them all. Their work amazes me, working in risky environments with bare minimal safety. They are building the metro lines across Delhi city, to be completed before the Commonwealth games starts next October(2010).

Das "Berliner Schloß" im Modell!
Am 12. Juni 2016 war ich mit Freunden im Berliner Bezirk Mittezwischen dem Kupfergraben sowie der Baustelle des „Berliner Schlosses“ bzw. „Humboldtforum“ unterwegs und habe dabei diese Aufnahmen gemacht.
The London Underground tube station at Tottenham Court Road, first opened for Central line services in 1900 with the 'Northern line' joining it in 1907 and having under gone various changes in the last century, is now being massively reconstructed to allieviate conditions that were pretty grim for both passengers and staff. New entrances, ticket halls, escalators and platform links are being constructed - alongside the wholly new Crossrail facilities that come into use in three years time. It is a massive job. I went on a site inspection so these are taken legitimately!
Parallel to the Central line access and running tunnels, and with links through to the new Crossrail station, this is one of the newly constructed deep level passageways at TCR being used for material and spoil transport before being fitted out for passenger use. The sheer scale of these new passageways, as against the original small diameter subways, is astonishing.

Hotel "Rutenbecker Hof" (along with some other buildings) in the process of demolition. Wuppertal's famous suspension monorail had to reduce it's speed drastically when passing the site.
The early 20th century structures have to make way for a new supermarket is going to be built. I photographed this series with a 40 years old Nikon EL camera. This shot was made with a Nikkor-Q Auto 135mm f/3.5 (pre-AI) lens.
A new entrance to the new underground station called State Library will open here later this year. I hav been watching this project closely. In theory it will create 'turn up and go' train times at my local train station.

Today we publish o shot of our operated equipment being engaged in a huge soilworks on site some time ago. We used some #JCB's, #komatsu, two #liebherr944 and one #liebherr954 for an extra heavy duty works on site in our hometown, St.Petersburg.

В 2012 году специалисты ФГИК "Размах" произвели
демонтаж вышедших из эксплуатации зданий завода "ФосАрго - Череповец", а также провели необходимые мероприятия, связанные с экологической безопасностью проекта. ФосАгро - крупнейший в Европе производитель фосфоросодержащих удобрений, фосфорной и серной кислот. Демонтажные работы на объекте компании выполнялись в условиях действующего производства, с поэтапным выводом действующих производственных мощностей и сохранением железнодорожного полотна, а общий объем демонтажа составил 51 тыс м3.
