Just beginning to get into compositing images. This is one of my first tries. Though flawed it does show the direction that I'm trying to go and the learning curve on this one was pretty difficult. My grandson loves it though.

Senior portraits / composite

A composite shot I worked on for an online competition. They provided the RAW file of a Lamborghini shot in a bull fighting stadium and we could do anything we wanted to it. I ended up with this Sin City stylecomposite.

week #39

And another movie themed photoshoot for this week! This time no more blood or vampires. We went for a action photoshoot. Christine got in touch in May asking if I was open for a creative photoshoot. I'm always open to do creative photoshoot!

So we worked on several concepts and all were movie related.

We meet up for a coffee and discussed the concepts more in depth. We were thinking about starting with another concept but we things didn't go as we planned so we decided to go with the action movie photoshoot.

The goal was to get close to action movies starring female actress like "Wanted" or "Colombiana". Christine managed to find 2 bikes and guns replicas (thanks to her friends) and we scouted for location. We wanted something not too "public" because of the guns. Even if we used replicas, we didn't want to have any trouble.

After we found the location, we had to find the accessories, the outfits and props. We went to a first shop were we found the perfect outfit...but they were only selling stuff and we wanted to rent it. As the budget wasn't unlimited, we went to another place.

The best place ever. We found anyone we wanted and the price for renting was more than reasonable and fitted the budget.

Christine picked me up after work and we went to the location we scouted to meet the guys and start shooting. Unfortunately, we didn't notice the first time we went there that it was a private property with security cameras...

So we had to find another spot! We found another place not too far from our first spot and we started to shoot.

The guys were ok to play the bad guys so it was just perfect! The shoot went well and some people take us in pictures. Lol. They probably thought we were shooting something big.

We had some fun time and some good shots.

I went with another poster for this week with a composite. We didn’t had the budget to make a real explosion (Lol) so I took an explosion picture found on the net, and the picture of city is one of mine.

Have a nice week!

And yeah, I went crazy on the editing...

Composite of two pictures.

Testing Testing...

Doing this is much easier than it looks... Everyone should give it a try... Fixed Manual exposure settings and camera fixed in a position and just shoot away as many as you want. Fire up photoshop and put 'em all together and layer mask them...

This was my first try and I dont like it that much. There are a lot of factors I dont like about this: First of all this dumbass wouldn't stop laughing/smirking and give me a few serious looks. Then the lighting is kinda weired on the side walls and I think I could've filled it with a lot more of him...

Anyways, gotta start somewhere... More to come...

This is just a composite of two images (mine on the left, Steve's on the right) of the same lightning strike captured several miles apart.

My previous image, "The Girl in the Cafe" was a composite of two separate images. I generally take several clicks of a subject that I notice (as most photographers would do). This way I get more than one version of the foreground and background. Then with my limited Photoshop skills, I am able to combine the best elements into a desired composite.

Admittedly, I enjoy the creative freedom that Photoshop enables.

My first try on a composite: Any help is very welcome. This is a further worked on version of v1.

Oh, and take a look at phlearn. A really great resource on learning photoshop.

Are we alone? This question is as old as humankind itself. For millennia, people have turned their eyes to the stars and wondered if there are others like themselves out there. Does life, be it similar to our own or not, exist elsewhere in our Solar System? Our Galaxy? Until 1992, when the first exoplanet was confirmed, it was uncertain whether there were even any planets outside those in our own Solar System. Today we know of over 3850 planets around other stars and thousands of planet candidates. Do any of these planets have conditions that would support life? ...

Before we can determine if there are other planetary systems capable of supporting life, we must first find them.

Playing around with Photoshop, I created this composite image. The vintage aircraft photo was taken at the 2010 Brantford air show and the background shot was taken from a hot air balloon in 2012.

A fun exercise!

My very first Multiple Composite.

Used 5 different images to create one Multiple Composite.

Just playing around with ideas, not too satisfied with the outcome, as it is lacking creativity.

I did a face study for my final project.

Thirty-two portraits are here in this one photograph.

A movie accompanied my project and the composite was a way to portray the same idea (of faces morphing into one another) in print.
