Soyuz VS07 upper composite, comprising the Fregat upper stage, payload and fairing, was transferred from the S3B integration facility to the Soyuz launch pad (ZLS), hoisted into the mobile gantry where it was integrated atop Soyuz, on 31 March 2014.
Soyuz VS07 will lift off on 3 April 2014, from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. The rocket will carry Sentinel-1, the first in the family of Copernicus satellites.
This satellite will be used to monitor many aspects of our environment, from detecting and tracking oil spills and mapping sea ice to monitoring movement in land surfaces and mapping changes in the way land is used. It will also play a crucial role in providing timely information to help respond to natural disasters and assist humanitarian relief efforts.

In this picture I used the Ripple effect for the first time and combined various elements to make this composite. For the subject i used a 2 light approach …..lit from the front with a beauty dish and then behind with a single strobe.

Considering the amount of work I usually get in the business, it seems that people assume I am a seven-handed freak or something... :)
Yes, I know you saw it first, but I'm bigger and stronger so go find yourself another place.
I wish after all the rain we've had over the past week that these frogs were actually in my garden looking for a spot to get out of the weather.

" Deciphering trial outcomes can be a tricky business. As if many measures aren't hard enough to make sense of on their own, they are often combined in a complex maneuver called a composite endpoint (CEP) or composite outcome. The composite is treated as a single outcome. And journalists often phrase these outcomes in ways that give the impression that each of the separate components has improved."

Just beginning to get into compositing images. This is one of my first tries. Though flawed it does show the direction that I'm trying to go and the learning curve on this one was pretty difficult. My grandson loves it though.

A composite shot I worked on for an online competition. They provided the RAW file of a Lamborghini shot in a bull fighting stadium and we could do anything we wanted to it. I ended up with this Sin City stylecomposite.

week #39
And another movie themed photoshoot for this week! This time no more blood or vampires. We went for a action photoshoot. Christine got in touch in May asking if I was open for a creative photoshoot. I'm always open to do creative photoshoot!
So we worked on several concepts and all were movie related.
We meet up for a coffee and discussed the concepts more in depth. We were thinking about starting with another concept but we things didn't go as we planned so we decided to go with the action movie photoshoot.
The goal was to get close to action movies starring female actress like "Wanted" or "Colombiana". Christine managed to find 2 bikes and guns replicas (thanks to her friends) and we scouted for location. We wanted something not too "public" because of the guns. Even if we used replicas, we didn't want to have any trouble.
After we found the location, we had to find the accessories, the outfits and props. We went to a first shop were we found the perfect outfit...but they were only selling stuff and we wanted to rent it. As the budget wasn't unlimited, we went to another place.
The best place ever. We found anyone we wanted and the price for renting was more than reasonable and fitted the budget.
Christine picked me up after work and we went to the location we scouted to meet the guys and start shooting. Unfortunately, we didn't notice the first time we went there that it was a private property with security cameras...
So we had to find another spot! We found another place not too far from our first spot and we started to shoot.
The guys were ok to play the bad guys so it was just perfect! The shoot went well and some people take us in pictures. Lol. They probably thought we were shooting something big.
We had some fun time and some good shots.
I went with another poster for this week with a composite. We didn’t had the budget to make a real explosion (Lol) so I took an explosion picture found on the net, and the picture of city is one of mine.
Have a nice week!
And yeah, I went crazy on the editing...
