Composite image taking from the time-lapse sequence. The top image is the middle frame out of 266, while the ocean is the other 266 frames all blended together, much like you'd do for a star trail. Was lucky in that 2 factors came together at the same time. NW wind coming right to left, as was the incoming tide. The smoke was from the NSW forrest first 2100 km away & turned out Dunedin skies this incredible colour pallet.
For Studio 26 processing assignment.
I've done a couple of these composites in the past and I do like the effects that can be created. It's similar to doing a double exposure in camera but much easier to get a usable image.
It's simply a silhouette of Taivas put over a shot of trees in the mist/sunshine. I resized the shot of Taivas to get the result I wanted, set the blend mode to screen and did a little cloning to remove some blue sky and cropped the final image.
The two original shots are in the comments.
This is my first real complete composite photo. It is 13 different photos. all mine but 3, those I found on google and could not figure out who to give credit to for those.
it was fun but way to many things I had to decide.
But I plan on giving it another try...one of these days.

Here is another composite with my buddy @kelvinpimont I took his portrait against a wall and then I added him on this cool cadillac store! Pretty cool right?
A view of both sides of this female Pileated Woodpecker. A raptor of some sort flew over and she froze for about 5 minutes which allowed me to get shots from both sides, then amalgamate in PS for a double take view....I was a little closer to her on the left but you get the idea :-)
We stopped off at Fountains Abbey on the way to Northumberland. I took this picture during the day but thought it would look much better under the Milky Way, so created this composite. Credit for the the Milky Way image: Kyle Goetsch on Unsplash.
I often imagine photographing these amazing scenes with the milky way, only to realize that they are not possible due to the time of the year or the location.
In these cases, I will sometimes create the scene I imagined by making a composite image of two of my photos. That is what I did here in order to get the milky way reflected in a pond during peak fall foliage back in October.
Thought I would jump on the bandwagon and post a composite of the eclipse. Missing a few stages of the eclipse due to heavy cloud cover, but I think it turned out OK. Feedback appreciated!
A recent camera club "exploration" required us to create new images by blending 2 different photos together. In this image I blended together two of my recent images: A statue from Oslo, Norway and an abstract image is had created.
The statue is one of over 200 sculptures in granite, bronze and wrought iron at the Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo, Norway. The park houses sculptor Gustav Vigeland's body of work. This particular statue is one of 58 bronze sculptures that adorn the bridge in the park, which show a rich variety of children, women and men of different ages. These were made between 1925-1933.
Taken using live composite in Olympus EM1.
takes 1 picture each second and blends them together.
This was 45 x 1 sec images
This time I zoomed during the 45 second exposure
A composite of the two Predators I photographed at the Invasion Colchester cosplay event with Poster Edges effect.

I have been playing a lot with Mecabricks and Blender recently, and while working on my posters realized it would be a great tool to help with cleaning up my photos - I could use a digital double to generate selection masks, add lighting effects, and remove support bricks. Here's a proof of concept I did over the last couple days showing the original image, the render I created to match, and the final composite image. I painted out the supports, replaced the far wing, and adding lights in the blue gun tips.
I don't think I've seen this done before, but I know there are some really talented builder/renderer/artists out there so I'm curious to see what other people can do with this stuff.
A composite of 7 images from the 8 April solar eclipse.
In Mt. Pleasant, MI, several hundred miles north of the path of totality, this was the peak of the 2024 total solar eclipse.
The background is a photo I took in 2015 of the entrance to Owl Canyon near Page, Arizona. The dancer is Gypsy Paul and she plays one of the Rovers at the 2016 Bristol Renaissance Faire.

This composite made from ten images shows the progression of the Moon during a total lunar eclipse above the Vehicle Assembly Building, Nov. 8, 2022, at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Visible trailing the Moon in this composite is Mars. Photo Credit: (NASA/Joel Kowsky)
Trying my hand at a composite self portrait for my social media profile. Kind of leaning to the colour version more than the b/w one
Composite of 85mm f1.4 images using 550D from La Palma. 5 sec exposure, ISO6400, noisy as hell! Stitching done on iPad with Autostitch.
A composite of two exposures. Taken in Selfoss around midnight on New years eve when the public goes amok in firing up their fireworks ;)

Okay so I'm completely in love with the idea of conceptual composites. I must have spent hours trawling through photographers' work looking at their photos and wishing I could do the same. A few months ago I attempted an "angel" composite and had great feedback. I've never been taught how to composite properly so I've kinda just taught myself and I probably do everything wrong and backwards but hey, here's a photo of my boyfriend and some birds.
A photo composite I constructed today to represent this flighty feeling that I’ve been having. It feels like I’m falling through space at times and can’t control anything that is around me or in my life. It’s as if I’ve been placed on some trajectory that is as strong as gravity. I cannot defy it, and I cannot move from it. It’s hard to tell whether this brings me satisfaction in life or joy, and whether this brings me towards what many would call soaring, or if I’m not flying at all and just tumbling towards destruction.
