Creating composite images has long been a passion of mine but one that I don’t always get an opportunity or better said create an opportunity to develop these types of images. As a person who uses photography as his tool to express his artist impressions, composite i...

I wanted to do this in my last 365 but with interruptions from the twin and Gaylord I never really got round to it, When I saw Olga's perfect rendition of it, I thought I'd give it a go.

oh my ... this is so hard. My poor brain! Saw this incredible composite from an area photographer and just had to try it ... I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING! But how cool! I might not have the brain power left for this though. I need a nap now ...
Almost forgot to say what they are! Swallow-tailed Kites of course ... 3 frame composite.
Composite image of the Transit of Mercury on November 11, 2019. First image (ingress) taken at 12:36 UT, followed by images taken every 5 minutes betwenn 12:40 and 14:50 UT.
At ingress, the altitude of the Sun was 20°. When looking at the images of Mercury, it's obvious that the seeing conditions did get worse during the sequence, due to the the Sun's declining altitude, and due to some interference of clouds towards the end of the sequence. Sun and Mercury were completely hidden by clouds at 15:00 UT (unfortunately, just about 20 minutes before the closest approach of the planet to the center of the solar disk), and both finally set at 15:30 UT, as seen from my location.
The individual images were taken with a Canon EOS 550D at ISO 100 trough a 90/1000mm Refractor telescope equipped with solar filter.

A composite. Two subject that I am very fascinated with are the American Bald Eagle and Earth's own natural satellite, the moon. Both have been difficult subjects for me to photograph. Here I have combined two of my images to make this composite.
I merged two photos for this. They are on the same branch at different times, so I flipped her around.
Note: It was a hectic weekend with company and two days of Celtfest, so I have been a little neglectful of Flickr friends,

Photographing the 2016 Perseids Meteor shower from Southern Saskatchewan at Grasslands National Park.
It is one of the darkest places in North America and provided clear skies and hundreds of bright meteors to enjoy.
This composite image was photographed over the night of August 11-12, 2016.
This is a composite from 2 images. 1 image was used 3 times. this was made for a contest on my Facebook page.
Shot this with 3 lights. A speedlite on either side in small photoflex softboxes with grids and a shoot through umbrella for fill.
As always your comments are appreciated.
This is a composite of a an antique clip-art Santa from an Archer Publishing book inside the floral design of a holiday pattern pressed glass dish.
This was shot for a photographer's group show featuring interpretations of Beatles songs. This was one of my first attempts at (what I consider at least) a major composite. It was a 4 light set up. All models and car were shot individually and composited into image. I used alien bee (ab800) strobes and pocket wizards(transceiver plus II) to trigger.
I have post that includes some behind the scenes stuff and a short video(kinda cheesy) of the Photoshop file coming together if you would like to check it out here .
1 large octobox straight on for fill.
1 78" octobox on left and slightly forward of model(s).
1 78" octobox on right and slightly forward of model(s).
1 medium softbox high and behind right shoulder of model(s) to represent sun.
