As I've described in a newly-added update at the top of my Flickr profile page (www.flickr.com/people/99244229@N04/), I recently finally had the opportunity to be back in full make-up and even being out in public en femme, the latter for the first time since April 2014. This pic is the 55th in a new series from this recent activity, which in this case happened just last month.

This particular pic is a snapshot from a video I took in a women's changing room at my local Macy's, taking advantage of the 3 mirrors in the room. The video is posted with my other, older YouTube videos at youtu.be/VVUU2n5Qgm4. Please check it out and comment/fave here if you like.

As usual, I really enjoy color-coordinating attractive/sexy/cute outfits, and this one features: Forever 21 nude-beige faux-leather ultra-high-heel 5.25"-stiletto strappy sandals; a Forever 21 nude crisscross-lacing-scoopneck long-sleeve crop top; a Forever 21 tan grommeted waist-belt; a Style & Co. "diamond stripe" ivory-beige tiered chiffon-hem midi skirt (from Macy's); a Forever 21 nude-taupe faux-leather mini-crossbody handbag with flap top; nude wide-net fishnet tights; a Lauren Conrad beige-pink floral sheer scarf; gold rings, earrings, necklace, watch, and bracelets.

More about this and other new 2017-18 pics was written up recently in a descriptive Update provided in my profile or "About" page here on Flickr. It details some choices made for these 2017-18 pics.

Let me know your thoughts... :-)

The Story

------------------------

With the pressure and stress from studying recently, I decided to get away -literally. Molly, Jose, Munlika, Emily and I went camping at Big Big Basin Redwood State Park for two evenings.

I got off of work on Friday in the early evening, and went pick up Molly -then we were off to see the redwoods. Traffic wasn't too bad at all heading down there. On our way to Big Basin, we quickly drove through the quaint downtown area of Boulder Creek. By this time the sun had set, and our surroundings were immersed in darkness. Out past this downtown outcrop we had only the headlights on the car to guide us. This added a nice feel to the beginning of our camping trip.

Upon arrival, we met the other three in our party, Jose, Munlika, and Emily. Our first evening was spent huddled around the fire pit, because it was very cold. Being a sunset boy from San Francisco, I even had a hard time dealing with the chilly temperatures. A random but revelant tangent ... I completely neglected to pack a pair of pants -I only packed shorts, thinking [or not thinking rather] that the weather would work out for the better. I paid for my negligence. This entire trip the cold really bit hard.

That first evening we arrived, we turned in at about midnight for the evening. Our clothes smelled like campfire smoke, and it smelled great. But the night was just getting started for me ... coldest night I've ever had. Ever.

------------------------

I've got six pictures from the trip posted in the comment below, along with descriptions. Unfortunately I didn't take too many people pictures -I was way too cold during the entire trip to have my camera with me at all times :(

We had a weekend in Leicester! Many many years since I had been out in Leivester.

Friday night was great - we found a couple of local friendly pubs and saw an amazing drag act - KY Kelly at the Dover Castle. Her singing voice was amazing - often drag acts will lip sync but she sang all her stuff, including an Amy Winehouse song which was amazing.

And she noticed Gemma's lights, so got Gemma up on stage ha ha ha! Of course, being the shrinking violet the is Gemma, she absolutely hated it - NOT!

Another old favourite dress. Time was it was a certainty that if I was going out, I'd be wearing either this dress or the pink one from the previous set.

You can't go wrong with a little black dress, and I've always loved this one from French Connection.

Saturday night we tried a p[lace we had not tried before - the Oak Vaults. A bit off the beaten track but apparently this is the regular meeting spot for some of Hull's trans community.

We had a great night! There was a drag act on called Hairy Antoinette (LOL!) and it was a lovely friendly atmosphere.

One good thing about cold weather is that, if you are lucky, you can find these little beauties hanging around. Such delightful hoar frost feathers are the reason I freeze my bottom outside several times during winter months. I just cannot resist taking pictures of them. So very pretty they are .. ;D Have a wonderful day guys!!

After a lovely afternoon out brambling with Gemma and my Mum, Gemma and I had an aamazing night out in Hull!

A delicious meal out at our favourite French restaurant Cognac started the evening off.

Then we decided to try Humber Street - the recently redeveloped area around Hull Marina. We found a rooftop bar there and met some great people - several of whom came to meet us later on at The Star!

It was a properly social night and it felt like the first 'proper' night out since the restrictions were lifted. A fantastic time.

More lovely people - in the white top is Marie who Gemma knew already.

COMMENT IF YOU FAVE

Firstly for all the x men that appeared in X-Men apocalypse the suits will be based on them and therefore based on MGF’s incredible customs.

For this fig it was pretty simple. I used a brown dog trainer hairpiece and sculpted the visor thing.

The torso was simple design waist and the straps and x men symbol are all 3D. The dot pattern on the abdominal bit is metallic blue cause I wanted to add some to this fig.

The legs are a simple design and overall this is all the fig is nothing to special but I still like it.

Jean Grey is next.

What a fantastic weekend!

It had been a few months since Gemma was last in Hull (too long!) and for the second time this year (Birmingham in March was the first) we went to see Kinky Boots at the theatre

What an awesome show it was - again!

What made this time extra special was that my Mum was with us this time.

It was the first time my Mum (and my Dad, since he gave us a lift to the theatre) had met Gemma, and the first time they had met me in full glam.

After a brilliant show, we walked across town to The Star. The same night in Hull, Adam Ant was playing and our lovely friend Mike went to see him, so Mike came to meet us in The Star afterwards as well!

Pics from in The Star. Shameless posing at the bar, lol.

Someone complained to me in a comment that for historic reasons this should be red not green so I contacted an expert and it was confirmed that red was not adopted until July 1874 in London and that it took more than ten years to repaint all letter boxed in Britain and Ireland.

In 1855 the first pillar box arrived in Ireland. Ireland’s oldest post-box, The Ashworth box, is now housed in the National Museum at Collins’ Barracks.

This particular letter box is located at Collins Barracks Museum but when I last photographed it in 2016 it was at a different location and I do not know why it was moved.

The green post box, in various shapes and sizes, is a familiar sight on city streets and country roads throughout Ireland.

Introduced well over 150 years ago by the novelist, Anthony Trollope, who worked for the Post Office in Ireland for several years, the letter box is an instantly recognised symbol of the Post Office. The intention was to make it easier for people to post their letters and make it unnecessary for them to have to wait for a post office to open. The first boxes appeared on the streets of cities like Dublin, Belfast and Cork over 150 years ago and were subsequently introduced elsewhere. The big pillar boxes were soon joined by smaller boxes that fitted into walls and later by lamp boxes which were cheaper to make and could be attached to lamp and telegraph poles.

One particularly attractive box, the hexagonal-sided Penfold, caused complaints when it was introduced as letters could occasionally get stuck at the edges. The classic cylindrical shape did away with these problems, however. A great many old post boxes remain in use today and they bring an elegance to their localities that is often much appreciated.

Anthony Trollope (1815 – 1882) was a remarkable man. As a Post Office official he was responsible for introducing the pillar box; and it was during his 18 years working for the Post Office in Ireland and at Drumsna, Co Leitrim in particular, that he wrote his very first novel ‘The McDermotts of Ballycloran’ and got much inspiration for characters in the 46 works that were to follow.
