A fairly warm October is ending, and we can feel the chill of November approaching. These little asters or Michaelmas daisies in Erba Park have been able to hold on until now, but their color has lost its summer brightness, and they are fading fast. The annual cycle moves on . . . Similar shots with a 35mm prime didn't turn out quite as well, so here's one with the kit zoom (on my backup camera). [DSC06261_lr_2000]

A small teaspoon with some honey is placed over a chipped Smartie with a drop of honey falling into the chipped area.

You can see this is the second attempt !

Many viewers have commented that The Guardian Building (originally The Union Trust Company Building) reminded them of a church.

This picture shows approximately half of the bank lobby on the main floor. Imagine the original bank building with 60-90 bank teller cages lining the entire length of both sides of this "nave". The ceiling was composed of a 3/4 inch (1.9cm) of horsehair and coated with a layer of plaster cement. Then, a canvas layer was applied, and painted with designs reminiscent of the patterns of Navajo rugs. This was a sound-deadening system.

The "altar piece" ( I suppose) was the three-story mural of the map of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Highlighted were the major Michigan moneymakers of the1890s to 1920s: mining, manufacturing, lumber, fishing, commerce, and agriculture. It was completed in 1929, unfortunately the year of the beginning of "The Great Depression".

This superbly decorated Art-Deco bank building was nicknamed "The Cathedral of Finance." So, if the earlier pictures reminded you of a church (reprised in the first comment below) --you were very observant : -)

Thank you for your visit, favourites and comments!

de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breitenstein_(Schwäbische_Alb)

Der Breitenstein ist ein 811,2 m ü. NHN[1] hohes Felsplateau in Baden-Württemberg.

The Breitenstein is a rocky plateau 811.2 m above sea level[1] in Baden-Württemberg. It is located near the village of Ochsenwang on the district road 1220 in the district of Bissingen an der Teck. The rocky outcrop is made of Weißjura stone and lies on the northern edge of the Swabian Alb directly on the Alb ridge.

From the approx. 200-metre-wide plateau of the Breitenstein, there is a wide view, unobstructed by vegetation, of the area approx. 400 metres below, to the north of the Swabian Alb - as far as Stuttgart in the northwest - which is why it is a popular place for excursions and is marked on almost all maps of the area.

There is a bronze plaque on the Breitenstein plateau that lists the location and distance of the places visible from there.

The Breitenstein is designated both as a protected geotope and, under the name Felspartie des Breitenstein, also as an areal natural monument.

Here's a photo of the iconic lighthouse bathing in the early sunlight, I got there by 5:30am and had the lighthouse all to myself and one other photog. Walking around and finding this small puddle, I was super happy with even just a partial lighthouse reflection.

The Light of the world--Yeshua

Romans 10:9-13

9 that iif you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Hi all !!

We continue the Comment Challenge ahah!!

Sometimes comments inspire me. This was the case under a work of The G.O.A.T Pan Iconic.

The goal is therefore to create a photo from comments on flickr!

The picture of The G.O.A.T Pan Iconic (read the comments) is here.

Story : "Often we see harley directly as a badass girl, in love with the joker or poison ivy who tricks and lives her life as best she can. This time, I just wanted to represent her as she was before and what she will become after meeting her J."

I hope you'll like it !!

Thanks for watching and your support!! ♡

Comment ne pas succomber à cette orchidée "noyée" entre les plan naturels, inondée d'un radieuse lumière elle devient objet de convoitise pour le peintre, fleur de lumière pour le photographe.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How not to succumb to this orchid "drowned" between the natural planes, flooded with a radiant light it becomes an object of lust for the painter, flower of light for the photographer.

Costa Rica

South America

Another orchid I photographed in Costa Rica is in the first comment section – Huntleya burtii.

Oncidium, abbreviated as Onc. in the horticultural trade, is a genus that contains about 330 species of orchids from the subtribe Oncidiinae of the orchid family (Orchidaceae). As presently conceived (May 2014), it is distributed across much of South America, Central America, Mexico and the West Indies, with one species (O. ensatum) extending into Florida. Common names for plants in this genus include dancing-lady orchid and golden shower orchid.

This genus was first described by Olof Swartz in 1800 with the orchid Oncidium altissimum, which has become the type species. Its name is derived from the Greek word ὀγκος, onkos, meaning "swelling". This refers to the callus at the lower lip.

Most species in the genus are epiphytes (growing on other plants), although some are lithophytes (growing on rocks) or terrestrials (growing in soil). They are widespread from northern Mexico, the Caribbean, and some parts of South Florida to South America. They usually occur in seasonally dry areas. - Wikipedia
