Blimey, it seems I went a bit camera-mad on this particular evening! And old favourite but a goody, this French Connection bandage dress was one I used to wear almost as often as my signature pink dress!

A slightly melancholy weekend, this one. Leeds Pride is always the pinnacle of my year but of course with the pandemic this year it has been cancelled. However, Jen still had her hotel booked for the weekend, so I decided to drive across there and spend the afternoon in Leeds.
We actually had a really good time despite the cancelled celebrations. And we even ended up in a 'sports bar' playing pool - not very girly at all, ha ha! But great fun, and we'll be doing that again. We're both reasonably good at pool.
Temporarily not socially distancing - it was difficult to get video footage when we were keeping a distance.

I prefer the photo I took for 327/365, but I quite like this one. Even if it looks a little dull on my screen.
My Mom told me not to wear my best coat while lying on the grass, but it was slightly cold out. & it could have been cleaned if it got dirty anyway. & I only own 2 coats & they're both equally good.
I adore this song.

6th Tues – Kate seriously messed me around at work today. I got there at 11.30am as per usual, & noticed there were a lot of people in today. We didn't normally need this many waitresses. So I went through to the office to check I was still on the rota. The whole rota was a mess so I couldn't tell. Next I went into the kitchen & found Kate with Emma. I was told I was not needed that day, except Kate just hadn't bothered to tell me. Fine, whatever. So I go & call my Dad for a lift a couple of times but he doesn't answer. Frick. I left him an answerphone message telling him my route home. So I have to walk. I'm just pissed off with having to be in work today & then it turning out that I'm not needed. I slipped out the staff door then & started walking. I went past the mere, up past Ellesmere Home & the down Love Lane. I crossed the road & had resigned myself to having to walk the road down to college when a car slowed down behind me - it was my Dad! Apparently I'm a fast walker. He dropped me off at home & I decided I'g go & do photos for the college, but beforehand I moaned a bit about work to my Mom & brother. Then the phone rings & my Mom tells me it's The Boathouse for me. I really must remember to tell everyone to say I'm not in when I call. It's Emma on the phone & they need me to come back into work as Lauren had shown up. FFS. I told her no. Kate is always messing up. She doesn't sort out the rota & people never know what days they're in, & frankly i'd rather just go & take photos. Emma goes & tells Kate I've said no, & so then Kate comes on the phone & begs me to come back in. I just told her I needed twenty minutes & then i hung up. I'm was in such a fucking bad mood. My Dad came home & gave me a lift back to work where I just got straight on with it. I was a bit ratty with Emma originally, but it's not her fault the rota was messed up. I was just annoyed she'd called me. But Casey, Enya & Vicky were sympathetic, & Lauren came into work later on that day to apologise. I wasn't annoyed at Lauren at all. Kate had told her previously that she'd had the day off today. I told her there was no need for her to apologise at all, but she's conscientious like that. At lunch time Kate made a huge fuss about making me something nice, so I just had a cheese toastie.
When I got home my 'New Moon' DVD arrived & I excitedly watched it in my room with my brother. I had completely forgotten about Edward's entrance scene in the car park & I was like "EEEEEEEE!" when it was on. Before that I watched Doctor Who with my whole family! That's unusual because my Mom usually refuses to watch Doctor Who with us, but we convinced her to watch Blink, as it's the best Doctor Who episode EVER! Then we watched the Family of Blood double bill, which is also awesome. My Dad, brother & I usually cry (or at least have tears in our eyes) for the end of the episode at Remembrance Day.
7th Weds – I started tidying my room today - my Dad had to sit there & supervise me. Well, we say it's for company, but really I need someone to supervise me or else I just wander off & do something else. The phone rang part way through the day & my Mom said it was for me - shocker! I used to get phone calls all the time, but now I prefer it if people just message me. The voice on the end of the phone sent dread & shock through me. It was Tristam. Frick. & he was outside the house. With his boyfriend. & he wanted to see me. Uuugh. I had to get out of my trackies & put my normal clothes back on, which was irritating. & then I stood around outside talking to Tristam & Mike (I think that was his name. Actually maybe it was Micky. That sounds more like it). I wanted to say "Haha! I've been telling you that you were gay since we started hanging out when we were 13! Vindicated at last!" But I didn't. Because that would have been awkward. We chatted for about 20 minutes & he told me he was on a canal boat with his parents & had brought his boyfriend down from Leeds to meet them for the first time. I chatted politely & complimented him loads. Then we made our excuses & parted ways.
I went back to tidying my room for a bit, & then I sat with my Dad while he made dinner.

A Merry Christmas to all of you that have taken the time to view and comment on my photostream. It's most appreciated. I plan to have a break from the ever downward spiralling Flickr until the New Year. Get out there and enjoy your photography.

A bit of a smorgasbord of photos to finish the April collection off.
First up, me in a bathrobe. I'm quite comfortable these days with how I look most of the time. Nowadays, however I am presenting, I really only see me in the mirror any more, which is a wonderful mental place to be.

Personal comment in view of recent events.....
Firstly, how are they going to enforce this new ruling as many look so convincing. Secondly, where do we go to ‘powder our noses’? Thirdly, how are they going to know that a trans woman isn’t a woman from birth? This has all been created by radical cis women, outspoken trans activists and a small minority of men, claiming to be trans, using it to their own devices! It’s not over by a long shot!
I'm no threat to anyone....... I just enjoy being me and presenting as such. x

Tons of pictures from a great day!
Gemma came up for the weekend again. It was her birthday on the Saturday and it seemed a good idea to spend it together.
These were from Friday when we went back to Flamborough and then later went to our favourite French restaurant for amazing food!
While there is much comment about the weather this summer, especially the amount of rain, history tells us that similar conditions are not unprecedented in our region.

It's June, it's summer so it's an opportunity to try out some new outfits. And a bit of a departure from my usual dresses, trying out a denim mini skirt and (yikes!) bare legs!
Thanks for all your nice comments and visits!!! Took this on my 3 hour hike on Friday~~MA;-))
The red squirrel has a typical head-and-body length of 19 to 23 cm (7.5 to 9 in), a tail length of 15 to 20 cm (5.9 to 7.9 in) and a mass of 250 to 340 g (8.8 to 12 oz). It is not sexually dimorphic, as males and females are the same size. The red squirrel is somewhat smaller than the eastern grey squirrel which has a head-and-body length of 25 to 30 cm (9.5 to 12 in) and weighs between 400 and 800 g (14 oz to 1.8 lb). It is thought that the long tail helps the squirrel to balance and steer when jumping from tree to tree and running along branches and may keep the animal warm during sleep.
The coat of the red squirrel varies in colour with time of year and location. There are several different coat colour morphs ranging from black to red. Red coats are most common in Great Britain; in other parts of Europe and Asia different coat colours co-exist within populations, much like hair colour in some human populations. The underside of the squirrel is always white-cream in colour. The red squirrel sheds its coat twice a year, switching from a thinner summer coat to a thicker, darker winter coat with noticeably larger ear-tufts (a prominent distinguishing feature of this species) between August and November. A lighter, redder overall coat colour, along with the larger ear-tufts (in adults) and much smaller size, distinguish the Eurasian red squirrel from the American eastern grey squirrel.
The red squirrel, like most tree squirrels, has sharp, curved claws to enable it to climb and descend broad tree trunks, thin branches and even house walls. Its strong hind legs enable it to leap gaps between trees. The red squirrel also has the ability to swim.

Quite a lot of photos from this November evening! Experimenting with a few camera angles so here are the ones which (in my opinion) worked.

It is not every day you get to see a spider saving a moth from falling off a leaf and today is not that day.
If you are not familiar with how these spiders hunt they release a pheremone to attract in a male moth looking to mate and instead are met with a hungry set of fangs at the end of a spider that spends half of its time looking like a bit of bird poop.
I am not certain which species of Moth it is feeding on so will leave it as Moth.

Having missed our annual weekend in Newcastle last year we were really looking forward to it this time round, and it didn't disappoint!
Friday night we met up with two friend we hadn't seen in a long while.
Steph came with us to Eazy Street bar first off, then on to The Stand comedy club for a night of stand-up comedy which she really enjoyed - something she had not done before in female mode so it was a new experience for her, and a very enjoyable night for us all. I do love a bit of live comedy.
After the comedy we went on to our favourite Newcastle venue, Rusty's where Fiona came to meet us too. Was a fantastic evening, and so lovely to catch up with two dear friends.
Hotel selfies before heading out.
