A grant from UMass President Robert Caret's Office brought the Combat Paper Project to UMass Boston's William Joiner Institute for the Study of War and Social Consequences the week of October 21. Through papermaking workshops, veterans use their uniforms worn in service to create works of art. Drew Cameron, an Army vet, and Nathan Lewis showed UMass Boston students how it works. To learn more about the project, visit: www.umb.edu/joinerinstitute and www.combatpaper.org
