Soldiers and family members from various units within the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade participate in KATUSA Friendship Week at Camp Humphreys to build friendship between U.S. Soldiers and KATUSA soldiers.

More than 700 Soldiers, veterans, descendants, and community members gathered at Camp Hale, Oct. 30, to take part in the historic patching ceremony of the 1st Battalion, 157th Infantry Regiment (Mountain), Colorado Army National Guard, as it became part of the 10th Mountain Division.

 

The ceremony was held at Camp Hale to honor the 10th Mountain Division’s lineage and the historical significance of the unit to the State of Colorado. Soldiers and 10th Mountain Division Living History Display Group interacted with attendees demonstrating vintage and modern military equipment.

 

Throughout the weekend, Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 157th Infantry Regiment (Mountain) rehearsed on the same cliffs that were used during Camp Hale's training of the 10th Mountain Division during WWII. (Photos by Army National Guard Spc. Ashley Low)

Staff Sgt. Marqui Brown, part of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, HHC, chose to be reenlisted on a CH47 Chinook in mid-flight. Doing the honors of re-enlisting this Army COMSEC Account Manager for six more years was none of other than the brigade commander of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, Col. Darrell Doremus.

Soldiers competing in the CSM Jack L. Clark Jr. Army Best Medic Competition begin with a physical fitness test - the Army Combat Fitness test

(ACFT) - aimed at directly connecting fitness with combat readiness for all Soldiers. The U.S. Army Medical Command hosts the Army Best Medic Competition at Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, Texas, Sept. 16-20, 2018. More than 27 two-Soldier teams from all around the world travel to Texas to compete in the finals to be named the Army’s Best Medic. The competition is a 72-84 hour arduous test of the teams’ physical and mental skills.

Competitors must be agile, adaptive leaders who demonstrate mature judgement while testing collective team skills in areas of physical fitness, tactical marksmanship, leadership, warrior skills, land navigation and overall knowledge of medical, technical and tactical proficiencies through a series of hands-on tasks in a simulated operational environment.

En una suma de esfuerzos entre instituciones estatales y federales en materia de seguridad pública, el Gobierno de Oaxaca ha fortalecido las estrategias de prevención del delito y combate a la delincuencia, lo que ha permitido que durante el primer trimestre de este año, la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública en coordinación con personal del Ejército Mexicano y de la Procuraduría General de la República, lograran importantes resultados en materia de decomiso de armas de fuego, enervantes y vehículos irregulares.
