During my "chocolate attack" when I rushed downstairs to find myself some chocolate FAST, i grabbed this brownie along with my £1 single chocolate truffle. The chocolate truffle was for me, the brownie was for sharing with Stuart.
This is not the usual run of the mill brownie. Stuart commented that one had to seriously like chocolate to like this. Short on the sugar but definitely packed in on the chocolate and emphasized with the cocoa powder on top. Little bits of nuts gave texture to the dry fudginess (if there is such a thing? I assure you after eating this there is such a thing).
Verdict? It's alright but it didn't quite blow me away.

This makes cracking toast. The combination of the molasses, cocoa powder and onion seeds really comes into its own when they're toasted and smothered in butter.
I've been told this looks like a moldy petri dish- but it was much tastier than a moldy petri dish. :-)
* On a side note, I seem to have gotten used to the British spelling "mouldy." Even though I just chose to use "moldy" instead, it looks really strange to me. I am becoming a conflicted speller.
