Making my fave coffee drink, just before I took the frother to this almond milk, cacao powder and super fine sugar, I saw Elvis. :) But every time I look at the photo now, it looks more like Dark Shadows' Quentin Collins (because of the mutton chops).
Tried a new recipe... too sweet for my liking. (No chocolate in the orig recipe, added as I sorta love the stuff.)
Made with cocoa powder, unsweetened and bittersweet chocolate, these brownies are rich in flavor and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

25% cocoa butter, cocoa powder, cocoa absolute with a thin layer of soap scented with peppermint essential oil - need I say more?
It's a brownie... no, a banana bar... no, a Reeses bar... it's all of them! Smooth chocolate, crunchy peanuts and creamy bananas all meld into a delicious, sweet treat.
Day 273 of an Unknown Number
"Let Them Eat Fettuccine!"
I knead dough......so I made pasta. Ha! So, as I mentioned several days ago, in an effort to entertain my daughters, I decided we would make homemade pasta. I made the dough, and we all took turns running it through the pasta maker. To kick it up a notch (did you know that Emeril has had THREE wives?), I added cocoa powder to the dough. For the sauce, I double-boiled some cream and Nutella, along with a pinch of salt. I would pour that sauce on absolutely anything. This batch of pasta sat on the pasta tree too long, and I threw it out after the photograph was taken. Sad. Our key light is a gridded beauty dish, and it is located just out of frame at camera-left. It lights our subject, as well as the circle of light on the do-it-myself canvas background. Secondly (and lastly), I had a snooted speedlight directly at camera-right, just adding a little fill from front. Very lastly, there is a piece of foamcore at camera-right, just filling in some of the shadows. The vignette was created entirely in-camera with the gridded beauty dish. Thanks for stopping in for a bite!

Scavenge Challenge April 2011 - #12: chocolate.
Coca. It isn't exactly chocolate but it is a close relative. A gift from "across the pond", before Rountree's Cocoa was discontinued. So, a double treat: cocoa from the UK, and now a collector's item.
I made chocolate fishies filled with nutella, dusted with cocoa powder, plus decorative squiggles on top.

Okay, so I've completely cheated today and posted 3 pictures, but I couldn't help it! The souffle was SO GOOD. I really love putting dollops of [insert favorite dollopy item] on food. Anyway, I figure the point of 365 is so we are motivated to take pictures everyday, so it can't be a bad thing if we post >1 right?
Anyway, I haven't tried using this pillow as a background before so I was excited to try it. =)
Comments/advice/suggestions for improvement are most welcomed!

Last week I was on a quest to find some quick and easy cookies to bake...that didn't require me to chill the dough for 30 or more minutes. I happened upon these at epicurious.com and am glad I did.
The recipe is here: tinyurl.com/6qc87f
The only changes I made were the addition of espresso powder and a few white chocolate chips. Other than that, I stuck to the recipe.
These cookies were a great blend of crunchy yet chewy and the raw dough was unbelievably delicious. These will be made again and again and again.
