I like the contrast of this one on the pink background. It has an incredibly realistic chocolate scent and is swirled with cocoa powder.

Last week I was on a quest to find some quick and easy cookies to bake...that didn't require me to chill the dough for 30 or more minutes. I happened upon these at epicurious.com and am glad I did.

The recipe is here: tinyurl.com/6qc87f

The only changes I made were the addition of espresso powder and a few white chocolate chips. Other than that, I stuck to the recipe.

These cookies were a great blend of crunchy yet chewy and the raw dough was unbelievably delicious. These will be made again and again and again.

Bean Beach

inspired by an aritcle on the work of Carl Warner, colin (the moon) and i attempted a food landscape last night, and after at least a couple of hours arranging and rearranging spuds we settled on this.

hard work but fun, we soon appreciated the work he puts into his awesome pictures. this isn't even a pale comparison but i had to post something!

Ingredients:-

50ml Baileys

300ml Milk

1 heaped table spoon of good quality hot chocolate

Sugar – optional if you like it sweet

Method:

Enter the milk and chocolate powder and leave on a medium high heat. Keep stirring till you have no lumps in the mixture. The hot chocolate should take 3 – 4 minutes to thicken and warm up. Do not boil. Take off boil and consistently stir for 15 seconds.

Pour the Baileys into a glass.

Pour the additional hot chocolate into the glass.

Top with additional flaked chocolate or cocoa powder.

French macarons with lavender flavor and dry lavender on a dark stone background, flat lay

I made these for Fat Tuesday. The tartlets were made in a cupcake pan, using a cream cheese pastry. I baked them filled with a small amount of pecan pie filling, then filled them the rest of the way with a chocolate cream filling I'd cooked on the stove.

To make it more festive, I made picks using a photo from The Graphics Fairy and added some lettering and a border. I also made a fleur de lys stencil with some cardstock and dusted coca powder over it.

Just came home from entering my baking entry at Mad For Marmalade, Crazy For Citrus. An original creation of Almond Chocolate Marmalade Bar.
