Yesterday we went to a photo gear swap meet that happens twice a year. Tons of used photo gear (mostly film)

There was a table with a guy just giving away his instamatics so I got one and beca got 3... grabbed a couple rolls of kodachrome too. I found this Duaflex for $1 that I cleaned and loaded with film this morning.

It turns out the Mickey Mouse straps were pretty common back in the day, and a few people were selling them so I chose the cleanest one I could find. Oh and that black thing is like a batman utility belt for 35mm film canisters... crazy... most of what you see here was $1 or free. I'm definitely going back again :)

This was taken on a walk from Waverley Station in Edinburgh to our hotel in Leith about 3 1/2 miles away - why catch a taxi when you can walk along a rather attractive wagon way for most of the way. Despite the photo's suggestion, Edinburgh must be one of the cleanest cities I've ever been to and there was hardly any litter to be seen along the paths.

New LEZ standards came into effect from Monday 1st March 2021 which required heavy vehicles to meet the cleanest Euro VI emissions standards. Go-Coach have plans to upgrade Optare Solos 5013-15 and Enviro 400s 9001/02/11/12 to Euro VI and are waiting for the kits to arrive. In the meantime the listed vehicles currently have an exemption in place until the work has been completed.

Here we see one of the four LEZ exempt Enviro 400s which are required to operate the three Orpington schools services, 9002 SK07 DZB on London Road having just passed Knockholt Station whilst working SDO route S31. Monday 22nd March 2021.

Another small in frame shot but I really like this one. Played around with lots of different angles to get the cleanest background and then waited for golden hour to kick in. Someday I'm going to get this lady on a better closer perch.

Epirus, the land where Nature gives away lavishly her unrivaled beauty. This stunning river is called Voidomates. The water's temperature is constantly low all seasons and it is said that it is the cleanest river in Europe.

158809 approaches Sowerby Bridge station with a York to Manchester Victoria service. 4/3/92. With hindsight this livery is probably the "cleanest" looking one that the Class 158's carried.

A birthday gift from my little brother. Probably the cleanest mint condition vintage camera I own. Whoever had it, took extremely good care of it. Honestly, inside and out, it looks brand new. I’m thrilled to add this little gem to my collection.

I have no idea what Lindsey is going to do with all the vintage stuff I’ve collected when I’m dead and gone.

Lake Annecy, known as "Europe's cleanest lake".

This was probably the neatest, cleanest and least ruffled Osprey I have ever seen!

The Königssee is a lake located in the extreme southeast of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. It's all part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Located at a Jurassic rift it was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It stretches about 7.7 km. The lake similar to a fjord is surrounded by steeply rising flanks of mountains up to 2700 m. The lake is noted for its clear water and is advertised as the cleanest lake in Germany. For this reason, only electric driven passenger ships, rowing and pedal boats have been permitted on the lake since 1909. Due to its picturesque setting, the lake and surrounding parklands are very popular with tourists and hikers. In addition, the lake's position surrounded by sheer rock walls creates an echo, which is known for its clarity. St. Bartholomä, a famous pilgrimage church with a small inn nearby, is located on a peninsula about halfway down the western lakeshore. It named for Saint Bartholomew the Apostle Bartholomäus in German. A first chapel at the lake was built in 1134 from 1697 onwards it has been rebuilt in a Baroque style with a floor plan modelled on Salzburg Cathedral, two onion domes and a red domed roof. St. Bartholomä and the southern edge can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails up the surrounding mountains.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, what lake's the fairest of them all?" Lake Königssee is what most of our visitors would answer. Hardly surprising, with its crystal-clear emerald-green water and mystifying atmosphere. Innumerable fish swim its depths and its surface reflects the rocky walls of the Watzmann massif. Photo taken from the last boat from Salet Moraine to St. Bartholomä and back to Schönau am Königssee.

Salet Moraine is a place located at the end of the Königssee. The nature is protected. Behind the trees there a smaller Obersee lake. No this place is not for sale. Swimming is allowed but no fishing. St. Bartholomä and the southern edge can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails up the surrounding mountains. The major concentration of hang-gliding and paragliding extends over the areas occupied by the Jenner at 1800m of which is located within the National Park’s boundaries. Each year roughly 2000 hang-gliders and paragliders take off from these jumps of which an estimated 85% fly north over the forefield of the National Park once they have gained enough altitude over the Brett and Hoher Göll mountains. The best flying conditions are to be found in spring and in autumn. Due to the fact that hang-gliding and paragliding can greatly disturb wildlife in the National Park, precautionary measures were developed for these sports.

Photo of Salet Moraine surrounded by the highest Rocks the most beautiful smaragd coloured Königssee situated midst of the most beautiful mountain area of the Alps - Germany. It's the cleanest lake in Germany. An overwhelming bird's eye view is just reserved to this single paraglider. Enjoying his or her airy cocpit view above green meadows, past cliffy rocks and lake Königssee with all of its magnificence. The Königssee-Fleet invites you to a very extraordinary adventure, which you will never forget. But paragliding in Berchtesgaden is not for beginners.

The daily Dakota and Iowa train stops by the Sioux Falls Airport for a crew change. The train is probably one of the cleanest I've seen in a while, comprised of both clean power and clean cars.

Cluster tessellation, designed and folded by Michał Kosmulski. There are several different ways of achieving a similar effect but with a slightly different pattern in the background (one can for example start from a four-sink-base). The variant shown here is the one with cleanest background, so that the clusters and not the background are exposed. It starts from what I call Clover Base, that is a level-1 Clover Folding by Fujimoto (just the central square, folded from 6×6 grid).

Folded from rare orange-colored Elephant Hide paper.

"I chose white alabaster because it is the purest, cleanest, most classic gem. Much like myself!" I decided to give multiple options this week because I wasn't certain whether to go for a minimalist approach or something extra "blingy" to fit with the theme.

Last Sunday night a long, heavy truck hit the road escorted from Italy with a precious cargo. While most of the citizens in Turin prepared to enjoy their dinner, several modules of the ExoMars spacecraft left the Thales Alenia Space facilities. Next stop: Cannes, France.

The journey took less than a day. Besides stringent controls in dedicated clean rooms and tents – amongst the cleanest places on Earth – to avoid any biological contamination from Earth to Mars, Russian and European teams took a number of precautionary measures to minimise the risk of spreading the Coronavirus.

Workers remained fully shrouded within ‘bunny suits’ to control any kind of contamination during the packing of the ExoMars elements before shipment. In this image, two engineers work on ESA’s Rosalind Franklin rover with its solar panels and drill folded.

The white capsule with golden legs in the background corresponds to the carrier module integrated with the Russian surface platform, dubbed Kazachok. These two elements will reunite with the rover in Cannes at the end of October.

The microbiological samples taken after rigorous cleanliness procedures showed that the contamination levels were within the requirements for a safe landing on Mars.

Engineers will be busy with a series of tests in the next months. The whole spacecraft will undergo thermal, vacuum and acoustic tests during the next months in France. Coming up is the deployment of the solar panels that will power up the Rosalind Franklin rover on Mars.

Teleworking is nothing new to the ExoMars spacecraft and teams. There will be some remote operations in France before the year ends. Rosalind Franklin will be commanded from the Rover Operations Control Centre (ROCC) at the ALTEC premises in Turin, Italy, to rehearse cruise and deployment manoeuvres once on the surface of Mars.

ExoMars leaves behind an intense period of testing in Italy since April, from health checks to assembly, maintenance operations and leak tests. Fasteners have been added to the solar panels of the rover to increase robustness during the unfolding and surface operations on the Red Planet.

Rosalind Franklin is fitted with a drill – a first in Mars exploration – to extract samples down to a maximum of two metres, where ancient biomarkers may still be preserved from the harsh radiation on the surface, and hosts a sophisticated laboratory to analyse the samples on Mars.

Both drill and laboratory have been extensively tested using soil similar to that expected on Mars and under conditions representative of the martian environment.

The ExoMars programme is a joint endeavour between ESA and the Russian State Space Corporation, Roscosmos.

Mallards! Extraordinarily common and not really doing anything interesting, but I always struggle to get them exposed well and sharp. I think their metallic green heads throw me off.

At any rate I think these are the cleanest mallard pics I've ever taken so I'm keepin 'em.

In the north of North Holland, between Alkmaar and Den Helder, lies the beautiful, rugged dunes of the coastal village St. Maartenszee. The area is known for its very diverse landscape. There are many routes for hiking or cycling through the dunes and woods with beautiful views. Open dunes are interspersed with dense forests and wet plains. Unique are the moors which can be found almost anywhere in the dunes. The sand in the dunes contains little calcium and therefore heath can grow. A bit wild between the dune roses, birch, rosehip bushes and in a protective dune or even better, on top of a dune. The village is also near St. Maartensvlotbrug and on the border of it lies the nature reserve Het Wildrijk, famous for the thousands of wild blooming hyacinths. North of the village lies the nature reserve of Zwanenwater, which runs until Callantsoog. Just after the lake are two Highland cattle beside the path and they do not seem to see us. One is unperturbed with food and the other suffers from itching and rubbing his head along the bushes. We follow the sand path and walk towards the beach. The beach at St. Maartenszee is one of the cleanest beaches of the Netherlands. It is a unique wide sandy beach. Here no Zandvoort scenes, no crowded beaches, but an old-fashioned family beach. On the beach you can find a special type of sand, sanded quartz with garnet. Here you can peacefully sunbathe and swim and enjoy the healthy sea air and the salty waters of the North Sea.

The bent pine trees of Sint Maartenszee reminds of the famous divi divi trees on Curaçao - part of the Netherlands Antilles. The tree is bent by years of exposure to the sea winds that blow from west to east across the Dutch coastline.

Representing an investment of approximately £1.7m and forming part of a £10m investment into new vehicles this financial year; Go North East has ordered ten Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles, which will be used to upgrade "Durham Diamond" services 16/16A (Castleside - Consett - Stanley - Durham), replacing the existing Mercedes Citaro allocation.

Manufactured by Wrightbus in Northern Ireland, this batch of vehicles feature the latest Euro 6 Micro-Hybrid engines with the cleanest vehicle emissions standards. Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation.

Similar to all recent orders, these vehicles feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra light on the gangway.

They also feature free customer Wi-Fi, audio-visual Next Stop Announcement LED internal signs, and USB power sockets on the back of each seat to allow mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to be charged 'on the go'.

According to a recent study by Centre of Atmospheric Sciences at IIT Delhi, Chitkul has the cleanest air in India.

I am so far behind. You can expect a flurry of uploads in the upcoming days because it is FINALLY SUMMER! And I am all moved in (with wifi). :)

I think this is the cleanest expansion I have ever attempted. I love doing them but they are so damn time consuming.

At this point these wildflowers are probably toasted and it is time to move to the higher elevations or out to the ocean for some good summer shooting. One of my favorite elements of the spring is how close great locations such as this one can be to home. I really had to pull the highlights back on this one, and actually cropped this vertical section from the wide shot. Not the cleanest sunstar, but worth sharing IMO. It is truly Amazing how much resolution you have to work with using these modern sensors! Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think!

New LEZ standards came into effect from Monday 1st March 2021 which required heavy vehicles to meet the cleanest Euro VI emissions standards. With the fleet of five StreetLites not meeting that standard a small swap took place towards the end of February with the StreetLites moving to Gillingham and five Enviro 200 MMCs moving in the other direction.
