I don't know why, but in Belgium the Intercity trains are as clean and modern as everywhere else in Europe, but the local trains are often extremely dirty on the outside and sometimes also really old. The mostly grey color scheme of SNCB also doesn't help making the trains look better.

They keep some of the cleanest locomotives out there!

Go North East's unallocated Euro 6 Daimler-engined Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid 5457 (NK66 EWF), which carries Go North East's new corporate livery with "The 49" branding, is pictured here in the yard at Saltmeadows Road Depot, Gateshead, prior to entering service. 31/01/17

Representing an investment of approximately £1.9m and forming part of a £10m investment into new vehicles this financial year; Go North East has ordered eleven Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles, which will be used to upgrade services 49/49A/49C (Gateshead - Winlaton), replacing the existing Mercedes Citaro allocation.

Manufactured by Wrightbus in Northern Ireland, this batch of vehicles feature the latest Euro 6 Micro-Hybrid engines with the cleanest vehicle emissions standards. Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation.

Similar to all recent orders, these vehicles feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra light on the gangway.

They also feature free customer Wi-Fi, audio-visual Next Stop Announcement LED internal signs, and USB power sockets on the back of each seat to allow mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to be charged 'on the go'.

I was fortunate enough to visit one of the cleanest and prettiest places in the world in Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort. The water is so pure that you can drink straight from a stream, and the air is so fresh that you can feel it deep down in your lungs.

I grew up in Polson, Montana which sits along Flathead Lake...so this is kinda like home!!! :)

Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake by surface area that is west of the Mississippi River in the contiguous United States, if one takes Red Lake and Lake of the Woods to be north of the Mississippi River, rather than west of the river.

With a surface area of between 191.5 sq mi and 197 sq mi, Flathead Lake is slightly larger in surface area than Lake Tahoe, but it is much smaller in volume.

The lake is a remnant of the ancient, massive glacial dammed lake, Lake Missoula of the era of the last interglacial. Flathead Lake is 27.3 mi (43.9 km) long and up to 15.5 mi (24.9 km) wide. Flathead Lake has a maximum depth of 370.7 ft (113.0 m), and an average of 164.7 ft (50.2 m). This makes Flathead Lake deeper than the average depths of the Yellow Sea or the Persian Gulf. Polson Bay, at the lake's outlet, was raised 10 ft (3.0 m) by Kerr Dam. It is one of the cleanest lakes in the populated world for its size and type.

Ahh WGL8... a common sight in Bukit Bintang areas. One of the cleanest LP640s around, driven almost daily as well.

I remember the time when it was 'still' a Gallardo.

Sitting at 9,905’ in elevation and just over a mile into our Emerald Lake hike, was Dream Lake. The first views coming from the trail to this lake and its view is stunning to say the least. With the biggest of the three lakes on our hike having the beautiful background of both Hallett’s Peak and Flattop Mountain was just awe inspiring. I could understand why the call it Dream Lake once I was there. Seeing all the people who were, along there individual journeys, all struck in their own ways by this beautiful place. The wind was especially high while we were at this lake, which made the dream like quality of the setting that much more.

I was able to get to the far side of the lake run off and to the angle I imagined could be over there. To my surprise as it had happened many times in the trip, the views are always better than you imagine. In this case, I was already right there and the view still surprised me with how perfect it seemed. Having the cleanest blue skies I’ve gotten to see in a long time certainly didn’t hurt my case here either.

The Leuvenum Forest has become a valued retreat for people who look for solitude, nature and for those who enjoy life to the full. Vast forests, extensive woodlands, the babbling brook called the Leuvenum, purple heaths, picturesque friendly places – you get to see it at the Veluwe located in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. This small shallow stream is also one of the cleanest and one of the last natural brook of the Netherlands. You can enjoy the best infrastructure for cyclist in the world. Crossroads are numbered in The Veluwe. All you have to do is follow the signposts. Several routes will guide you to areas of outstanding natural beauty, such as Ermelo’s Heath, Hulshorster Heath and Leuvenum Forest. You will pass through the picturesque villages of Drie, Ermelo, Hierden and Leuvenum. You can cycle or hike here for hours and you will find peace and quiet here. The forest has coniferous woodland, deciduous woodland and mixed woodland, where coniferous and broad-leaved trees grow side by side. There are also other landscapes besides woodland, such as wet and dry heathland, sand drifts and grasslands. It is interesting to note that each environment has its own plant types. After all, a plant that only grows on wet, boggy ground will never be found on a vast area of sand drifts. Have you ever encountered a deer or a wild boar? You might at the Leuvenumse Bos, Ermelo. The forest is habitat to numerous animals: some hundreds of Red Deer, Roe and , dozens of Wild Boar and lots and lots of smaller animals. The best chance to see wildlife is late evening and early morning.

Niet iedereen is daar even blij mee.

BieJee and Samantha enjoying a refreshing swim at the Königssee. A lake with some history since Eva Braun did go skinny dipping here. It's located near the holiday home of Hitler, the Kehlsteinhaus Eagle's Nest. The Königssee is a lake located in the extreme southeast of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. It's all part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Located at a Jurassic rift it was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It stretches about 7.7 km. The lake similar to a fjord is surrounded by steeply rising flanks of mountains up to 2700 m. The lake is noted for its clear water and is advertised as the cleanest lake in Germany. For this reason, only electric driven passenger ships, rowing and pedal boats have been permitted on the lake since 1909. Due to its picturesque setting, the lake and surrounding parklands are very popular with tourists and hikers. In addition, the lake's position surrounded by sheer rock walls creates an echo, which is known for its clarity. St. Bartholomä, a famous pilgrimage church with a small inn nearby, is located on a peninsula about halfway down the western lakeshore. It named for Saint Bartholomew the Apostle Bartholomäus in German. A first chapel at the lake was built in 1134 from 1697 onwards it has been rebuilt in a Baroque style with a floor plan modelled on Salzburg Cathedral, two onion domes and a red domed roof. St. Bartholomä and the southern edge can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails up the surrounding mountains.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, what lake's the fairest of them all?" Lake Königssee is what most of our visitors would answer. Hardly surprising, with its crystal-clear emerald-green water and mystifying atmosphere. Innumerable fish swim its depths and its surface reflects the rocky walls of the Watzmann massif. Here in St. Bartholomä - Germany my kids couldn't resist a refreshing dive in the clean waters of the Königssee - a natural idyll.

artificial lake of Jeziorsko - looks beautiful but unfortunately the water isn't clean and swimming is not possible... Some people do but I wouldn't get into this water... It's always polluted by local farms and River Warta, which is not the cleanest too... Pity...

More of the wonderful vaulted ceiling in the Beauchamp Chapel which, as if that was not enough, also has a whole wall of carved and painted angels, some very fine tombs, a Doom painting and a wealth of stained glass. This is a slightly closer view of these musical angels. The contract for creating the glass was drawn up on 23rd June 1447, between the executors of Richard Beauchamp and John Prudde of the town of Westminster, Prudde being an outstanding glazier and for seven years the king’s glazier. At Warwick he was asked to ‘glaze all the windows in the new chapel in Warwick with glass [made] beyond the seas, and with no glass of England, and that in the finest wise with the best, cleanest, and strongest glass of beyond the sea that may be had in England, and that of the finest colours’. The cost of glazing the chapel windows came to £106 18s. 6d., one of the most expensive glazing programmes carried out in England.

Bah - you're all too good at guess the car.

Owned by an older chap whose hobby was the cleanest Triumph Acclaim I've ever seen, this Sierra served him as a daily runabout for around 9 months. He'd bought it off a young mechanic that (apparently) serviced the car every 5,000 miles, in in tern inherited the car from his grandfather.

Minor crust on the arches, 90,500 miles, low (but fully functional) specification the Sierra looked and sounded great. Though many (minuscule) touch ups.

I thought all Emax Sierras were 5 speed, not 4 like this?

Pros:

Great condition overall.

No advisories in 5 years.

Drives like a much older car!

Cons:

Sierra built-in obsolescence at 100,000 miles.

No service or MOT history.

Very cracked dash.

Nice to see an early example, even if not the cleanest... or complete. Appears it has been off the road since 2013, and what I could make out I believe it's another one under the cover next to it. Maybe this yielded some parts for the other, or vice versa.

Probably the cleanest MK1 Mondeo I've seen in about a decade; this beautiful late Verona soec model was parked on its own away from other cars, which shows that the owner of this car clearly cherishes it dearly. Finished in Jewel Green, there wasn't a single dent or blemish on this car. It was polished to perfection and besides the wheel trims looked as though it had just rolled out of the dealership and nowhere near 20 years old.

Supplied by Elliotts Ford of Bishop Auckland, which is now a Lidl supermarket and a stone's throw from where this was spotted. The private reg was evidently fitted when new; this is unsurprisingly a one owner car. At last MOT in June it had just ticked over a tiny 60,000 miles.

For me there's no skyline, that is more exciting, than Shanghai Pudong, seen from The Bund. Most of the Shanghainese don't know this amazing view in the early morning, when Shanghai is a very, very quiet town. Even my wife not. Till that morning. She was very surprised, that it was me, who showed her a new sight on her hometown.

Shanghai is one of the cleanest cities, I've ever seen, too. Even this pretty rain pit was unfortunately brushed away 15 min later...
