The Königssee is a lake located in the extreme southeast of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. It's all part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Located at a Jurassic rift it was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It stretches about 7.7 km. The lake similar to a fjord is surrounded by steeply rising flanks of mountains up to 2700 m. The lake is noted for its clear water and is advertised as the cleanest lake in Germany. For this reason, only electric driven passenger ships, rowing and pedal boats have been permitted on the lake since 1909. Due to its picturesque setting, the lake and surrounding parklands are very popular with tourists and hikers. In addition, the lake's position surrounded by sheer rock walls creates an echo, which is known for its clarity. St. Bartholomä, a famous pilgrimage church with a small inn nearby, is located on a peninsula about halfway down the western lakeshore. It named for Saint Bartholomew the Apostle Bartholomäus in German. A first chapel at the lake was built in 1134 from 1697 onwards it has been rebuilt in a Baroque style with a floor plan modelled on Salzburg Cathedral, two onion domes and a red domed roof. St. Bartholomä and the southern edge can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails up the surrounding mountains.

It seems like summertime joy but actually Samantha is running away from an irratating bee. Photo taken in St. Bartholomä at the Königssee - Germany.

artificial lake of Jeziorsko - looks beautiful but unfortunately the water isn't clean and swimming is not possible... Some people do but I wouldn't get into this water... It's always polluted by local farms and River Warta, which is not the cleanest too... Pity...

A shiny, red Farmall tractor makes its way through the small town of Harrisburg. The photo was edited in Photoshop to make it look as if he's in a hurry to get back to the farm. It's not the cleanest Photoshop job, but this was an exercise in using different forms of blur creatively.

There are a few scenes in WDW that are fun to take over and over again to see if you can improve on your previous results. This is one of them for me.

Since your Doom Buggy rotates and the Hitchhiking Ghosts come in to view for only a quick few seconds, there is little time react. I've tried various settings, lenses, and cameras, and I think this is my sharpest and cleanest attempt yet. The little D750 does a great job of focusing in low light and has amazing high ISO performance. It also has another trick up it's sleeve...

I stumbled on this somewhat by accident for this particular shot. We had an e-stop in front of Constance Hatchaway (I'll post that shot later this week), and I turned off Auto ISO in attempt to get a cleaner shot. I guess I forgot to turn it back on, so I accidentally shot this one very underexposed in manual mode.

Many reviews of the D750 demonstrate how well you can increase exposure with RAW files from this sensor, and this is yet another example. I pushed this one a full three stops in post to an equivalent of ISO 12,800. In the end it worked quite well.

Maybe someday I'll get a long exposure tripod shot of this scene, but until then I'll keep experimenting!

Got a chance to shoot the cleanest MK1 Scirocco I have ever seen. The attention to detail is crazy -- full set coming soon.

Last photo from the set.

It was such a nice weekend here in NJ so it was the perfect time clean the cars and go out shooting photos. This is my roommate's R32 and it's probably the cleanest car I've ever seen.

With the new kit in my hand workshops had been booked to get the most of learning from the kit. Yorkshire Dales was the chosen venue.

Two and half days of challenging weather was forecast, and they wasn't wrong, however within this time we also had them amazing breaks were the light playing its part.

here is a selection of image I took, my aim was to taken images with the cleanest background avaible once we came across the given bird.

Bah - you're all too good at guess the car.

Owned by an older chap whose hobby was the cleanest Triumph Acclaim I've ever seen, this Sierra served him as a daily runabout for around 9 months. He'd bought it off a young mechanic that (apparently) serviced the car every 5,000 miles, in in tern inherited the car from his grandfather.

Minor crust on the arches, 90,500 miles, low (but fully functional) specification the Sierra looked and sounded great. Though many (minuscule) touch ups.

I thought all Emax Sierras were 5 speed, not 4 like this?

Pros:

Great condition overall.

No advisories in 5 years.

Drives like a much older car!

Cons:

Sierra built-in obsolescence at 100,000 miles.

No service or MOT history.

Very cracked dash.

He drove that thing fast.

Selling because he can't afford the insurance?

Another stop on our bike ride in Maipu, Argentina. The cleanest wine distillery I've ever seen!

Miami is a seaport city at the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Florida and its Atlantic coast. As the seat of Miami-Dade County, the municipality is the principal, central, and the most populous city of the Miami metropolitan area and part of the second-most populous metropolis in the southeastern United States.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Miami's metro area is the eighth-most populous and fourth-largest urban area in the U.S., with a population of around 5.5 million.

Miami is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade. In 2012, Miami was classified as an Alpha−World City in the World Cities Study Group's inventory. In 2010, Miami ranked seventh in the United States in terms of finance, commerce, culture, entertainment, fashion, education, and other sectors. It ranked 33rd among global cities. In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Miami "America's Cleanest City", for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets, and citywide recycling programs.

According to a 2009 UBS study of 73 world cities, Miami was ranked as the richest city in the United States, and the world's fifth-richest city in terms of purchasing power. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and is the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.

Miami has the third tallest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises. Downtown Miami is home to the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, and many large national and international companies. The Civic Center is a major center for hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries.

For more than two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the "Cruise Capital of the World", has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world. It accommodates some of the world's largest cruise ships and operations and is the busiest port in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.

Metropolitan Miami is the major tourism hub in the American South, number two in the U.S. after New York City and number 13 in the world, including the popular destination of Miami Beach.

Shelducks, the cleanest ducks on the planet. Taken at WWT Martin Mere

Nice to see an early example, even if not the cleanest... or complete. Appears it has been off the road since 2013, and what I could make out I believe it's another one under the cover next to it. Maybe this yielded some parts for the other, or vice versa.

Probably the cleanest MK1 Mondeo I've seen in about a decade; this beautiful late Verona soec model was parked on its own away from other cars, which shows that the owner of this car clearly cherishes it dearly. Finished in Jewel Green, there wasn't a single dent or blemish on this car. It was polished to perfection and besides the wheel trims looked as though it had just rolled out of the dealership and nowhere near 20 years old.

Supplied by Elliotts Ford of Bishop Auckland, which is now a Lidl supermarket and a stone's throw from where this was spotted. The private reg was evidently fitted when new; this is unsurprisingly a one owner car. At last MOT in June it had just ticked over a tiny 60,000 miles.

For me there's no skyline, that is more exciting, than Shanghai Pudong, seen from The Bund. Most of the Shanghainese don't know this amazing view in the early morning, when Shanghai is a very, very quiet town. Even my wife not. Till that morning. She was very surprised, that it was me, who showed her a new sight on her hometown.

Shanghai is one of the cleanest cities, I've ever seen, too. Even this pretty rain pit was unfortunately brushed away 15 min later...

The boating service has been using electric boats since 1909, perserving the pristine quality of the lake. Half way of the lake you will pass the Echo Point where a member of the crew will play Captains flugelhorn and you can hear several superb echos. In the old days, a black powder hand cannon was shot off and 7-8 echos could be heard. It's well known known for its clarity.

Yes another one of 'those' photos. Dirty landscapes. Not the cleanest look but it gave me som ideas about reed.

I had not heard of Cartagena until my Mother rented a holiday villa fairly close to that city. I confess that I had preconceived ideas about Spain but was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful, cultured, historical, proud, charming, friendly and clean the city was.

During my visit, I can honestly say I did not see any litter, not even leaf litter, most impressive!
