Mayday, Spyrius forces are attacking the monorail! We already lost a railcar and need immediate assistance!
We can't help you right now, our surveillance fighters are under heavy fire. They're everywhere!
This is one of my contributions to the Mini-Moonbase contest at Berlin SteineWAHN! 2021, a collaborative micro Classic Space project based on a 10x10 grid.
This one pays homage to one of my favourite space series as a child, specifically two amazing sets therefrom. I never owned the robot myself, but I had the big saucer as well as the smaller one and I loved both of them. And a moonbase needs a monorail anyway, so what better target for the Spyrius, since attacking a monorail (specifically the Unitron one from the same period) was a common story setting in the catalogues of the time.

The early days of Blacktron were all about Freedom and Independence but those ideals fell during wars for fuel cells.
**Been wanting to use those magnets for a while!**
Classic Space version of LEGO set #40516 Everyone is Awesome using all available colors back in 2021 (reddish brown and purple came later)
The astronauts of Futuron have discovered a strange new planet, covered in oceans! Thankfully, the local sea people are very friendly (despite appearances) and have allowed for a few small research outposts to be established. The biologists of Futuron are going to have their hands full with all the strange new creatures on this colorful world!

Oddly enough, one of my favorite Space themes of old is one that never saw store shelves, Sea-Tron! This theme was set to be released in the 80s, but ended up being cancelled. I thought the latest Ideas contest was the perfect opportunity to do a little tribute to the theme that never was. I had a ton of fun creating this little reef scene, I hope you enjoy all the colors and little creatures/plants as much as I enjoyed building them!

Out in the meadows there was a mysterious tower. Visitors were unwelcome and strange vibrations could be felt in the ground. Nobody knew what went on there...
It has been a long time since I have built something Sci-Fi related, but I like the outcome of this little creation.
I hope you like it and be prepared for more Sci-Fi stuff to come!

And for all non-Sci-Fi fans that follow my stream, I am still working on some new GoT minifigs and will update my old House Stark figbarf soon.
Setting myself some building rules and limitations got me out of a bout of builder's block a while back, and saw the emergence of Hover Car Racers.
Not built anything for ages so set myself the challenge of putting another HCR vehicle together.
Here are the "rules" I set myself when building one of these:
- bold colour scheme
- a whiff of 'muscle car'
- some asymmetry
- enclosed cockpit
This one obviously grabs a chunk of inspo from Classic Space, but also benefited from a few references to the DeLorean from Back To The Future.
First proper MOC I've built for ages. Hope you enjoy it.

Many planets in the Federation's compass had extensive water or other liquid bodies on their surfaces. Some had no land at all, yet harboured huge mineral and biological resources that were invaluable to the Federation. This required the development of highly specialised craft that could withstand both interplanetary and submarine conditions such as the LL-515.
Another slightly upgraded version of one of my old builds, now with landing gear and additions at the front. For more information on this build see other photos of the same build.
Another flying wing MOC. I built the original MOC a while back but was never happy with the cockpit, I updated it this evening and am happy with it now.
Underside
The LL-856 Hammerhead was used by the Federation to measure the gravitational and magnetic fields of planets, moons, and planetesimals, revealing vital information about their sub surface structures, composition, and dynamics. The wide hammerhead fins, packed with delicate, encased sensors, facilitated extremely fine spacial resolution in all directions, unimpeded by the main body of the craft.
I was pleased how this underside came out - particularly the pipe work using only classic parts, and finding a use for those beautiful broken bike pieces. The landing gear is functional. Here you see it extended, and I've also uploaded a shot of it retracted.
Hi everyone!
Febrovery is upon us, and I have had the great pleasure in revamping the 1984 set 6871 Star Patrol Launcher. Obviously, I expanded the size of the original, but kept the functionality of an articulated cab and moveable launching frame for the small spacecraft. You've probably noticed I haven't been putting out too much Neo Classic Space things recently. the OTJ, while something I am very proud of, kind of burnt me out on Classic Space, and I had to take a year's hiatus, switching over to BIONICLE. But I'm back now! Enjoy!
I'm a big fan of vertically-oriented ships, and this one I'm particularly pleased with how it turned out, especially with the semi-retractable landing gear.
Somehow the shape puts me in mind of a fish of some kind, and being a fan also of prehistoric life (even if I don't build it all that much) I'm calling this the LL313 Coelacanth

Rover School is in session...
We had a very special lesson in our History of Roving class this week. Professor Emeritus J.N. Knudsen brought an antique Mobile Tracking Station to show us how roving was done in the golden age of space exploration. It was amazing to think those ancient Earth astronauts could venture into space with such rudimentary technology. They truly were brave men and women.
More views on Instagram. @mr_frost_art_n_bricks
For the continuous destruction and torture of humans when any of them manage to escape what's left of Earth and flee into the supposedly safe blackness of space.
This was an absolute pain to make a stand for. I don't know how I'll do it again at BrickCon.
(Also, I just found out there isn't a real Black Fantasy pool here. I only found two extremely tiny ones. Is this true, or am I missing it?)
Poster for SHIPtember 2022.
Thank you to Si-MOCs, Ninja_Bait, stevenwhoward.techillustration, and Yodamann for help preparing images for the poster!
My new Instagram Account reccently achieved 101 followers.
As a prime number it seemed like as suitable subject for a little classic space build to say thank you
Last year I really fell in love with the aesthetic of the old Lego Neo Classic Space line. It led to the creation of a fleet of Classic Space attack craft. I’ve decided to return to this awesome theme with the first of my animal themed NCS ships. This time we have The Manta Ray. Part submarine, part deep space explorer. I think it’s about time Benny explored a new frontier!

More shots! Had great fun greebling this underside, while keeping the overall outline and structure elegant and clear. I tried to make convincing pipe work using all those classic elements. The landing gear is retracted in this shot (in contrast to the previous underside shot with the landing gear extended).
You can just about see two more crew inside on the top view. This build was obviously very influenced by several different aquatic animals, though this sort of just happened without consciously looking for actual reference materials.

I tried to include the design cues and play features of the original while adding my own flavor to the design.

Lunar Dune Buggy GTR-RL (Unlimited Class)
I wondered if this has too much of a 20th century look?
Personally I feel that its on the edge of NCS and has a certain Mad Max vibe about it?
An incoming call wakes Benny up just in the middle of the (galactic) night. Still sleeping, he someway makes for the communication screen, wondering who's disturbing now... hopefully not one of those annoying Cassiopeian telephone salesmen!!
A new series of Benny's adventures has just begun...
Sven continues his work on the space station. He recently got promoted from cleaning the corridors on level 19, to cleaning in and around the botanical lab! He walked with his usual swagger as he felt things were finally looking up. His spirits were on a high for another reason, as he had recently heard rumours that the engineers on Epsilon IV were developing a brand new spaceship called Vic Viper...
Part of my brain thinks that it's still Febrovery. Perhaps it's like a flywheel and will gradually stop imagining rovers?
The Cosmic Neutralizer has big guns, shield buster bombs, scatter missiles, big engines, long range capabilities, a rover, the newest model robot on board, a two person cockpit and a giant spoiler: alone or protecting a convoy, this is a very capable craft.
This was a doozy to work on! I was inspired by many great Classic Space builders and wanted something that would fit in with the NCS universe they've created.
Seek and deploy. Ice Planet fleet, ship 4.
This is the fourth and final ship in my Ice Planet fleet. White is a damn hard colour to work in but I'm glad I was able to do all 4 as I'd originally planned.
To find a solution to his food problem, Benny decides to search on the biggest e-commerce site of the Andromeda Galaxy…
If this reminds you of something, you’re right!
