Built for the Eurobricks Classic Space Era Spaceship Contest.

Had to be a ship containing a smaller vehicle in the colour scheme of one out of a list of classic themes. I already had an idea for another wedge craft built around the new trans-yellow canopy, so thought I'd give it a whirl.

Stats -

- 40 studs long (pretty much exactly!)

- Colours used:

-- Black

-- Blue

-- Light grey/light bluish grey

-- Trans-red

-- Trans-yellow

-- White

-- Yellow

It's Space Cowboy Saturday once again!

It's that time again.

The time when I redo the 6927 All Terrain Vehicle.

I've tried to keep closer to 'system' on this one. Less greebles, less feeble!

Do you like it?

Meh?

Let me know in The Comments.

Vacation is over. Time to go back to the space station. But it's so good to be home, after all.

I took this photo because somebody (my wife) told me that I couldn't end the book just like that with this photo:

So, after the work I had to come out with a new idea and prepare the "studio" in no time.

This is the result, it's not flawless but I hope you like it. :D

Last year I really fell in love with the aesthetic of the old Lego Neo Classic Space line. It led to the creation of a fleet of Classic Space attack craft. I’ve decided to return to this awesome theme with the first of my animal themed NCS ships. This time we have The Manta Ray. Part submarine, part deep space explorer. I think it’s about time Benny explored a new frontier!

Element # 4360. Minifig Accessory Camera with Side Sight. Approximately 20 studs x 7 studs.

Original element shown for scale.

Following the success of Nova Team the Federation council decided to experiment with other smaller groups of specialists. One such group was the Arcus Team. Using some of the equipment first developed by Nova team, such as the brand new Orion EVA Spacesuit Mark II, Arcus specialised in the expansion and maintenance of the Federations communication network. From troubleshooting a glitch on a satellite relay to setting up a new sub-node on a recently settled moon Arcus Team were to guys to call.

It is a privilege to own four custom figures with Rob Damiao's spacesuit design. Look out for more adventures of Arcus team coming soon (although not on the scale of Nova team)!

Thanks Rob :D

A small Cargo produced by the CS federation. Simple, reliable and affordable !

Err... did I mention that it rotates?

Sorry for the bad quality...

I updated the flooring and bar itself-- ran LED lights under the floor to make the bar glow, added some metal tubing for style.

It was the year 1979 when LEGO launched one of the sets that became among the most iconic in the AFOL world: the 928 set.

The Classic Space theme was launched just a year earlier in 1978 and this set became a legend because it represented the most beautiful and largest spaceship in the entire fleet. It is incredible to think of the success that this set of only 338 pieces has had if we compare it to those on sale today, but in those days we were children who dreamed of having this box and our best memories are linked to it.

In '79 I was just 5 years old and I have never been able to have this box, too expensive for my parents, but I have always dreamed of it looking at it in the catalogs. Finally as an adult I looked for it and managed to buy it!

All this premise was used to introduce my new work: the Galaxy Explorer SDR-926! This year I am 10 years old as AFOL and I thought about making mocs that have a special meaning for me. The first of these was the desire to make a spaceship of some importance! SDR-926 wants to be a tribute to the 928 but with very different characteristics and numbers. Number 926 represents the birth of my daughter. The spaceship measures 85 x 75 x 21 cm and is made up of almost 4600 pieces! It took me 5 intense months to make it because it contains several features and functionalities in a single work.

Thank you for watching!

I have found this photo on my smartphone and I don't remember why I had not photographed as usual this model! I have probably forgotten in some boxes this 928 2.0!

I'll definitely take it out and photograph it again! :)

Nothing better than reading a good book all together!

Introducing the electronic eye (left) of the super computer that controls everything in Benny's space station... :D

Happy Febrovery, Ladies!!

Just a little rover with a tire and canopy design that's been rolling around in my head for the last couple years! :)

I couldn't let the month slip by without offering up my diminutive contribution!

This one's for you, Crimso!

Enjoy

My all-time favorite Lego starship, here in Blacktron colors.

After reading the Bricket Random Set Of The Day about set 5590 “Whirl and Wheel Super Truck” I had the urge to build the B model and convert it into both Futuron and Classic Space variants. The trans yellow windscreen is a bit shorter, and they don’t make the train doors in Medium Stone Grey, but I think I got pretty close!

Built a few exo suits a while back and decided to take a few shots of one of them.

Ever since I built the camera, I had the idea of using it to take a "behind the scenes" shot of one of my other builds. So here it is :)

I decided to redo my revamp of the 918 Space Transport. I'm much more pleased with this version. Enjoy! Support classic space by clicking the link below. ideas.lego.com/projects/f1b1dfc3-4ef2-4992-aab7-aad16bceed0d

A quick build for Tim and Pete. Couldn't resist.

This is my first serious attempt at a frame-less mech build. The arm, leg & shoulder panels are forming the "frame" and have integrated joints, mostly 1x1 bricks w. stud on one side sitting in a technic brick with a rod through for added stability and friction. I was doodling around with the legs and the rest kind of happened in a flow state without much planning. Thx for viewing and happy early Mechtober!

My first attempt at a spaceship! I had a lot of space sets as a child and I love the Neo Classic Space genre attempting to modernise these sets. My collection probably had more of the grey/trans-green style than the classic blue/trans-yellow, so I figured this was a good place to start. I'll probably modify this MOC in the coming weeks to the blue/trans-yellow scheme for some additional variety!

Played around some more with the CS micro-figs. Figured they needed a decent rover and a mech. And if you have a rover and a mech...you need a hangar!

From Star Wars to Classic Space...

Hello to the group, below you see my Classic Space Version of the Mobile Tac-Pod from the LEGO Star Wars Set 75338: Ambush on Ferrix. The Pod, an excellent and clever design of LEGO designer Jme Wheeler is one of my favourite Star Wars sets from the newer series. I like the stucture with all the angles and doors but also the resemblance to the republic gunship. I transformed the ship to an Astronaut transport in the colors and style of LEGO classic space.

Maybe you like the MOD/MOC. Stay safe and keep healthy. #legolux1973 #legoclassicspace #legospace

Some tragic accidents were reported with this model.

In presence of some type of radiations, the robotic arm went mad, forgot the Asimov's laws, and beheaded the poor driver.

Before the end of the year, Walter hosted a build day at his place to prepare for a LUG display that would be going into the local Lego brand store. It was interesting and very enjoyable to dig into someone else's collection. This little classic rover was the result of my building that day. It is currently in a display at the Ross Park (Pittsburgh, Pa) Lego store.

Here is the whole display.
