A WIP ship. I'm going for a very smooth retro vibe. I'll have to hit Bricklink for more of the big orange wedge and blocky pieces from Sentai Fortress unless anyone has any they wouldn't mind parting with. With more pieces, I plan on completing the overall rocket shape (and maybe adding some big fins for swooshing/landing support).

Suggestions?

One neat feature of the Bohrok claw is that this printed tile is visible through the "vents" in the head.

Took me about 18 hours to render this monster. :D

Febrovery is well underway but I'm busy with, non-Lego things this year. This will probably be my only rover.

I've been given a box of old Lego, from a cellar. As I washed it all, I found more and more of these old track-links, plus a red gear to go with the three that I've had since my childhood. Here's the result: a mix of very old and very new pieces!

There a more photos, over on Instagram.

The dual windscreens in 10497 gave me the idea to try to create a classic space version of my favorite Star Wars ship, the U-wing. Overall I am pretty happy with this one. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep the functions of the U-wing but managed to get the sweeping s-foils and opening troop compartment doors (this with the addition of 2 1L axle/pins and 4 2L axle pins). All other parts come from the set. The part count comes in a little over 900. I built this because I recently bought the 60300 Wildlife rescue ATV and discovered that it had tilt steering. This was a fun play feature but with the turning circle of a super-tanker. So I thought that I'd build my own. Aussi, c'est toujours Febrovery :D

You can see a short video of the rover in action, over on my Instagram.

Some info were missing on the Andromezon page... and now? who's gonna build it?

See the background story here !

Had a lot of fun making these. Tried to keep to the ethics of the spacemen as ‘explorers’ first, but gave them enough armaments to defend themselves if necessary

I'm a big fan of vertically-oriented ships, and this one I'm particularly pleased with how it turned out, especially with the semi-retractable landing gear.

Somehow the shape puts me in mind of a fish of some kind, and being a fan also of prehistoric life (even if I don't build it all that much) I'm calling this the LL313 Coelacanth

Hi there!

Here is my latest build, it's tiny! It's based of the Lego 21109 Exo Suit from Peter Reid, yes the second figure is orange and not green (I didn't have another green micro figure). But nonetheless I hope you like this! For the breakdown and more pictures checkout my Instagram post (next week Tuesday! for the breakdown).

Tired of bouncing along the heavily cratered lunar surface? Dying of ennui dodging flaming volcanic vents on Venus? Lolling with lassitude from avoiding crashing into Clanger caves?

In 1984 the LEGOLAND book 'Trapped in Space' by Douglas Hill was published. It featured this SHIP The Galactic Spearhead. I thought it deserved to be online.

A spaceman from the Netherlands, resplendent in his orange spacesuit, drives a rover across the lunar cheese plain. This vehicle was based on the wax skin of a giant edam. The water-tight wax cover enabled the rover to float in the streams of fondue that erupted from nearby volcanoes. Cheese that was mined from this area was the main export back to markets on Earth.

Also in the photo is one of the cats used to deter raiding mice.

So yesterday I received an interesting package to kick off Febrovery...This, of course, is the rover that delivered it.

My daughter Penelope built the wheels for this one.

This cool "F" crate was given to me and created by Rich from Steel City LUG.

This is just a bus. It has no guns, it does not transform, not even a smallest piece of science equipement. But it will surely get you to your space job!

I needed a quick build inbetween more "serious" ones where I end up placing about 10 bricks in one hour, working to get some shape right. This in turn was initially done in about 3 hours and then +1 hour on redesign and applying... a trick. Can you spot something unusual on this build?

Consisting of:

- basic truck mixer "Moonsmoothener"

- heavy duty plow "Moonraker"

I always wanted to make a mecha dragon, even as far back as 2012, when I fell in love with LEGO dragons. I always knew it would be gray and greebly, but it almost seemed like cheating. Light gray is the LEGO colour with most avalible detail pieces so it would make finding solutions to building problems easier than I would like them to be. Ironically now, this is the most complicated dragon build I have made yet (of which there are 24 now, including some more open interpretations of what a "dragon" is). I have been building it on and off for 2 months from late December to mid February.

The build started with the head, where I wanted to use Nexo Knights spear tips as eyes, which completely changed the head design, so I could not go with the one I use on most of my dragons. Then the head design got additionally complicated by my strange desire to use a gear on the neck. The elongated neck was pretty straightforward and nothing new as far as my models go, except the use of the hose going underneath it, but even that was a pretty quick solution. The next part that was built were the wings... Three years ago, I swore an oath never to build fragile dragon wings again, but here I go again... these are not quite as fragile, as I approached the build from a stability perspective first and filled them in later. Also rocket launchers on wings are awesome. The third and final segment of building was the body. I was really getting sick of dragons that could hardly stand, and this one was built for a LUG display, so it had to survive the transport. This is the first time I have experimented with a technic frame (poseability is almost zero), including a tripod of 2 legs + 1 tail and a central body structure to support the heavy wings. I am actually quite proud that I managed to get a somewhat organic pose and a tail that looks flowing even though it hides a straight technic beam in its center. In the end, I have added a little base to it to show it off as best as I could.

Just taking a moment to park and take a look at the aurora.

Perfect for checking light bulbs in the roofs of tall hangars.

I thought that I'd include the underpinnings and not rely on LDD anti-grav for this build.

As always, a big "Thank you" to Crimso for inspiring Febrovery and hosting the group. Merci Crimso: c'est toujours très amusant et inspirant!

I was extremely lazy taking pics of the Leap Frog so I only have one more decent post worthy shot of it. Thanks for the comments, favs and blogs even: WOW!

A digital LEGO model of a Classic Space castle, built in a similar style as the first LEGO castles from the 80s but with the Classic Space theme. It is based on the game Classic Space Adventure that I created in 2018.

The model is also uploaded as a LEGO Ideas project which you can check out here. There you can also see many more photos of the space castle.
