Named for the green mineral used in the production of its distinctively coloured canopies, the LG-340 was built for raw speed and could deliver incredible thrust in both atmospheric and zero gravity conditions. It became the model for later Federation policing craft when it was discovered that the windshield material was especially resistant to the later neon technologies that the Blacktron had developed. The sealed, detachable pods at the rear were repurposed as holding cells for transporting detainees and prisoners.
I finally caved! My first large-scale foray into light bley space building. I won't abandon old grey for the 1979 colour scheme, but thought I would try bley for my second favourite Classic Space colour scheme - grey/trans-green/trans-red highlights - from 1980 and 1985. Had to be a bit clever on the cockpit to match the old style windscreen with appropriately angled parts in bley. I always found it interesting how the colour scheme was recycled into Space Police II livery. Obviously it needed a green Classic Space minifigure as a further link between the two.
There it is. Another Febrovery in the books.
I hope you enjoyed the month of rovers.
I have to admit, its getting tougher to do 28 each year.
This was a busy month for the Frosts outside of LEGO.
I have plans to expand the world of Planet Frost beyond just some rovers on construction paper backgrounds, and hopefully this year will see some of that come to fruition. I'll keep you all updated...
Many thanks to those who have viewed, enjoyed, faved, commented, and supported me along this journey each year, and to those who have joined the Febrovery party.
I hope to see you back here on Planet Frost real soon.
Looking to upgrade the ground clearance and suspension on your old, Classic Space era rover? Look no further!
This simple conversion kit from Llwyngwril Systems' Vehicle Design Department will transform your old buggy.
(N.B. Access ladder not included and wheels may protrude from existing mudguards)
I thought that I'd build the sort of thing that I usually build in LDD for Febrovery but in real bricks and not in February.
Figured I would try to make something fun with the recently released micro-figs.
Since I really loved the CS-figs, I decided they deserved a little scene. A bit of a challenge to get the scale fairly correct for the truck but pretty happy with the way it ended up :)
The perfect machine for taking a stroll across the surface of the Moon.

Welcome to Planet Frost
Our tour continues...
Planet Frost welcomes all creatures great and small no matter where you are from in this vast galaxy. Over there I see a friendly purple spaceman assisting a group of Liliputanians who seem to be a bit lost. Here we all watch out for each other and do our best to help one another.
Febrovery 2025 - 12
A small MTron transporter rover designed for hauling those mysterious magnetic boxes around distant planets.
My first ever Febrovery submission, I enjoyed building something classic(ish) space themed again!

Including: cocktail spacedresses, high heels space boots, earrings, zero-g hairdryer, cosmetics, in a nutshell everything a classy woman absolutely needs in space!
My entry for the annual Febrovery!
This is the front view, you can see the Vidiyo part I used as a cockpit.
Now with added steering and suspension!

My entry to the Lego Ideas 90th Anniversary space contest: ideas.lego.com/challenges/8f551f3c-0554-4b9b-a1a6-8dc61e9...
This vehicle was totally stolen from Huw Gwilliam's Uggy buggy. I wanted to make a version that my nephew might be able to zoom and crash into skirting boards. Go and see the original here: flic.kr/p/2qLTZxS
The Vehicle Design Department of Llwyngwril Systems had become an incredibly superstitious bunch over the years. Many drivers, passengers and bystanders had been inexplicably maimed or even killed by vehicles created by the Department. Yes, they were often novel, unusual and cutting-edge but never "weird" or "downright dangerous" as so-called "normal people" and "experts" alleged.
However, there was absolutely NO WAY, that they would consider publishing an image of a 13-wheeled vehicle on the 13th day of the month. That would be tempting fate far too far.
So here is a shot of the whole hangar. A medical bay with a control tower and a central crane for transporting the med-pods. The Exosuit is a powerloader-version used primarily for assisting when the pods are being moved (and is of course inspired by the awesome work by Peter Reid). I have made two different versions of exosuits as well as a walker. Will be posting pics of them all later on. I have also made instructions for them which will be found for free on the BriXtar-app in a little while.
This is photo from LugPol exhibition in Sępulno, Poland, 2025. This is my part (tiled landscape and MOCs on it + flying spaceship).

The LL-908 was the smallest ship which used the same aerofoil design principles developed for the Galaxy Explorer. Its open cockpit meant that flight beyond the Troposphere was rarely attempted, but its relatively modest manufacture and maintenance costs made it a common and useful Federation Craft.
A quick build by my standards (just two sessions!) I just wanted to make the smallest possible craft on the 1979 classic spacecraft blueprint. The nose was created by removing the print from a classic space piece, and then adding a sticker from the Go Brick Me set. In front of that are three pieces that are rather rare in blue! It was also an excuse to use this windscreen piece - I'm working my way through the trans yellow ones. There are two more recolours in trans-yellow coming this summer in a Batman set - a large bubble canopy, and a big angled one.
M:Tron recolour of my original teal Bubble Scout in all its bubbly glory. Now 20% bubblier due to that canopy, and comes with a deluxe attachable/detachable magnet.
This is also a Lego Ideas project, so I would really appreciate your vote so that it build might one day become a real boy set!:
Recently I purchased an original artwork from my friend Robin Thompson. Robin draws amazing LEGO art and you can find him on Facebook at Fun Men Press. I had the Classic Spacemen Skeleton art on my counter and had been admiring it for several weeks when I realized it would be the perfect starting point for a collaboration between me and Robin.
I took inspiration from the haunted scene and came up with the idea to build a Classic Space themed moc to expand on the story of the artwork.
The Story goes…
In 1984 space mission LL 6945 disappeared unexpectedly. Thought to have been sucked into a black hole, all hope of reaching these brave astronauts was lost…until now.
Many years later a ghostly broadcast has been picked up by LL 2022 and is just now being transferred to the main screen on the bridge. What message will these astronauts bring back from the other side?
The model is lighted with Blinky Bricks lights. www.blinkybricks.com/
The orange lights blink thanks to a lifelites eLite kit, but you can't obviously see that in a picture... a movie would be better, and a movie you'll have soon!
A prototype attack craft cobbled together from experimental stealth technology and captured Blacktron fighters
Don't worry because now you can (get ready girls and boys)... "Cross that ditch without a hitch!"
FebRovery 2015:
An exercice I love to do from time to time : make a ship only with vintage parts, in the true style of 80s Space sets.
I think this one is my favorite in this style so far, it has many references (more or less subtle ^^) to many ships from the 80s (sets 6890, 6929, and many other) and it was a real pleasure to build.
Hope you'll like it ;-)
Astronauts in the distant future dig up a curious artifact from the early days of space exploration.
I unearthed (or should I say unmooned?) this 1 x 6 x 5 brick with LL2079 rocket and moon pattern, which appeared in one set 40 years ago, while digging through my drawer of decorated bricks in search of something entirely different. It's older than I am, so I don't know where I got it. It's suffered quite a bit of wear and tear over the years and would no longer look great in its intended use, so I decided to do something different that would make its condition work with the build.
Although this is a tiny little build, it took a few evenings to complete due to the rather complicated SNOT geometry in the terrain. Although it's cropped in the photo it wraps around 360 degrees so that the build can be displayed at a con, whenever we can safely have one of those again...
The story of this asteroid mining spaceship can be read at this Flickr photo.
This photo shows the PAC-MAN resting on its VTOL landing gear. The cargo bay doors are also open, behind the manoeuvring thrusters.
A WIP ship. I'm going for a very smooth retro vibe. I'll have to hit Bricklink for more of the big orange wedge and blocky pieces from Sentai Fortress unless anyone has any they wouldn't mind parting with. With more pieces, I plan on completing the overall rocket shape (and maybe adding some big fins for swooshing/landing support).
Suggestions?
