Class 25/2 25217 stabled at Gloucester Horton Road depot early on Saturday morning 14th July 1979. Built at BR Derby Works in 1966 and allocated to the Nottingham Division, it was withdrawn from service in February 1981, after just over 15 years service. It was cut up at its 'birthplace' at Derby Works in January 1982.

A southbound London Overground class 378 unit comes out of a tunnel into an essentially white scene at Wapping station on the East London Line.
As well as the white wall on the right, there is a fair sprinkling of white grit salt on the narrow platform. This is applied because although the stretch of the line between Surrey Quays and Whitechapel is below ground (and of course the River Thames), a small part of the northen end of the platform is exposed to the weather. This shot was taken on the last day of a week long cold snap across the British Isles.
Stanier class 5 No 45337 back in October 2013. Prepares to leave the North Norfolk Railway, Sheringham, bound for the Nene Valley Railway.
I believe it is now undergoing refurbishment at the Llangollen Railway Co.

Class 25 no.25293 arrives at Toton from the South with a weekend engineers train, taken in the early 1970s.

The first Italian-built class 802 for GWR rolls out into the sunshine following its official unveiling at Hitachi Rail Italy's Pistoia plant on 9 February 2018.
This set is due to arrive in the UK in March, joining the three Japan-built class 802s already in the country for testing. The first class 802s are due to enter passenger service in July and all 36 sets will be delivered by March 2019.
GWR expects HST operation on services from London to Devon and Cornwall to end "around this time next year." Catch them while you can!

Class 67 67024 continues to operate in less than pristine external condition but has at least had a partial clean of the most important part of the locomotive - the number! - and was pictured in the 'Thunderbird' siding at Newcastle Central on January 16th 2017.

A pair of Class 37 37903 + 37904 pass the semophore signal on their way through Kidderminster with a steel train from Brierley Hill , this train was a regular pair of Class 37,s it only ran on weekdays so i did not get many chances to photograph it.
