BR Standard Class 2 No. 78018 has the road from Loughborough Central, while a LMS 'Ivatt'Class 2, No. 46521 is being held outside the station. The latter is heading a demonstration Travelling Post Office working, while the former has a service for Leicester North. West Midland Railway Class 172 No. 172339 passes a West Midland Metro tram at St Paul's, Birmingham. In the distance, a Class 68 diesel and 7029 Clun Castle stand alongside each other at Snow Hill station.
Birmingham New Street, March the 30th 2023. On platform 10,170516 makes up the rear of a four car set just arrived with the 14:39 from Hereford whilst on the right on platform 9, 170117 is ready to leave with the 16:18 to Nottingham, meanwhile 170114 pulls out in front with the 16:09 for Leicester.
Q4001 is stabled outside of the Forrestfield depot painted in the Orange ARG livery on 6-7-08.
When delivered to Westrail the loco was numbered Q301 and painted in the yellow scheme

CSXT 2544 is tied down for the night at Rockdale after completing it's duties for the day. This unit was originally built for Seaboard Coast Line in 1973, one year after the GP38-2 begun production, making this a relatively early specimen.

A South Western Railway service arrives in platform 6 at it's Waterloo destination, spot on time 57 minutes after setting off from Dorking at 07.30. On the right hand side in platform 7, an eight coach formation of class 158 and 159 units will form the 08.50 departure to Salisbury.
The arrival from Dorking is formed of a class 701 Arterio unit, which are gradually entering service with SWR a few years later than originally planned due a combination of reasons. The wikipedia link below gives more detailed information.
47523 was previously (D)1106. It was withdrawn in June 1999 and cut up at EWS Wigan CRDC in May 2000.
Witton station is functional, perhaps that is the strength of the place. The station served two important functions it was the station for Villa Park, the home of Aston Villa FC, millions of supporters have set foot on these platforms. The other use was for workers, when Britain made goods the Aston/Witton area was packed with factories during wartime Kynoch were at full stretch making ammunition. Today most of the factories have long gone leaving residual industry like car scrap yards.

This is the final picture I will post from our trip to France. It all concluded on our final night with a cooking class in Paris. Our main dishes were crepes and a fruit salad. There was not much of a learning curve for either but they were delicious.
This is the only perseved 3 car class 126, comprising of DMS Sc51017, DMBS Sc51043 and TC Sc59404. Now restored, it's seen at the Bo'ness Railway at their diesel gala day, about to do the only run of the day.
