I always liked the look of these Swindon built Class 123 DMUs, although this is the only picture I ever took of one, seen departing Doncaster on a Hull to Manchester service in February 1984. On their last legs at this time, they were withdrawn a few months later.

A South Western Railway service arrives in platform 6 at it's Waterloo destination, spot on time 57 minutes after setting off from Dorking at 07.30. On the right hand side in platform 7, an eight coach formation of class 158 and 159 units will form the 08.50 departure to Salisbury.
The arrival from Dorking is formed of a class 701 Arterio unit, which are gradually entering service with SWR a few years later than originally planned due a combination of reasons. The wikipedia link below gives more detailed information.

This sub is not based on any particular real-life design. However, it shares the most DNA with the Italian Adua-class, such as the Gondar. On cold war submarines, a bow bulge holds sonar; here, it's a method to improve seakeeping. An air-filled ballast tank in the nose keeps the flared bow from dipping underwater when the submarine is on the surface. The Delfino is a relatively small and lightly armed submarine. Its design favors stealth and speed over large deck guns or many torpedoes.
Although I have an updated heavy cruiser design almost finished, this is the first new build I'm posting for JFS 3, a Divide and Conquer semi-spinoff set in the Pacific in 1942. I'll be once again playing as Montefalco, my Italian faction.

A fantasy of mine. I would love to attend one of my high school class reunions as my Jill self. Having one of the guys from my class ask me out would make it a perfect night.

After trials with various Bus bodies on a 4 wheeled chassis the pre-production run was a number of 20 leyland Bus bodies which lacked every esthetic known to man.
Narrow, being bus bodied width and a safety screen version of the front which leant itself to the 142's eventually, they were not a design marvel. Also a set of jumpers which appeared to be stuck on did not help!

The humble DMU, much malaigned when I was a kid with names such as Bog Units, Boggo's and even Fart Carts due to the exhaust rasp! gained a following due to their longevity lasting well into the sprinter era.
Earlier casualties were the Class 127 who lost their work in the 80's due to the Bed-Pan electrification.

This is the final picture I will post from our trip to France. It all concluded on our final night with a cooking class in Paris. Our main dishes were crepes and a fruit salad. There was not much of a learning curve for either but they were delicious.
A Southern class 171 formation arrives at Crowborough, with the 16.33 Uckfield to London Bridge service. Some snow from earlier in the week has still not thawed during the current cold snap.
Very much a spur of the moment shot after spotting the puddle on the platform when returning from 'The Wheatsheaf' pub. Inspiration aided by three and a half pints of 'Harvey's Best' in the aforementioned pub!
