Al fondo, a la izquierda, en dirección Valencia, queda la Estación de Adif (antes Renfe) de CHESTE, por la cual transcurre la lÃnea C-3 de cercanÃas de Valencia.
En Avril 2019, l’habituelle relation gazière assurée par RDT 13 en G2000 entre Miramas et Martigues est vue de passage à Port-de-Bouc en fin de matinée.
The festivities weren’t over yet. A short walk led a bit closer to the tracks, with still another view on the magnificent background. Can’t get enough of it.

One of Railtraxx' many class 66 locomotives, in my opinion the most beautiful. On December 7 it was working in the port of Antwerp. We could make a picture of it while it was standing still at the Kruipin junction, waiting to continue it's journey from Kalishoek to Antwerpen-Noord.

During the Easter vacation near Limoges, I got to spend some time near the railway track with my 10 month old son. He didn't notice however, as he was sleeping all the time.
I was lucky enough to catch the 2 train pairs between Limoges-Puy-Imbert and the quarry of Verneuil-sur-Vienne.
On the photo, we see the empty run 815552 towards the quarry. This is the first leg of the second train pair. Traction was provided by SNCF dinosaurs 67623 and 67513, the latter one still in blue.

Het verkeersbord voor de overweg suggereert dat er een door een elektrische locomotief getrokken sneltrein aan zal komen maar niets is minder waar. De oplettende toeschouwer kan voor de komst van de trein uiteraard zien dat de bovenleiding ontbreekt maar voor de onvoorbereide passant zal het een verassing zijn als de bedaagde motorwagen VT26 uit Bad Endorf naar Obing am See komt aantuffen. De motorwagen is door de Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nürnberg in 1962 gebouwd voor de Bregtalbahn ( Donaueschingen – Furtwangen) van de Mittelbadische Eisenbahn Gesellschaft. Na opheffing van die lokaalspoorlijn werd het voertuig overgenomen door de SWEG (Süd Westdeutsche Eisenbahn Gesellschaft). In 2011 is de op twee eenassige wielstellen geplaatste motorwagen overgenomen door de Chiemgauer Lokalbahn voor inzet op de gereactiveerde lokaalspoorlijn.

The third last day of coal trains to the power plant in Ruien. 3 days later, all transport would modal shift to water. It was a beautiful, cold day, and 2 trains were running. This is the first one, pulled by 6247. Hard to believe, or not, that this is one of the last trains on line 85 that used to connect Oudenaarde to Avelgem and Herseaux, near the French border. Today, this part of the line is a bicycle path.

A completely new view, for a long time on my wishlist, and this day I finally got there. Clouds and sun were playing games, but I was able to make some nice sunny shots with the town of Sankt-Goarshausen in the background. This spot can easily be reached on foot. Just beware when parking the car during tourist season: the parkings at the Loreley site will be very busy.
Burg Katz in the background was built in 1393 and is now privately owned. It's name relates to burg Maus, in Wellmich, that can be seen on this picture www.flickr.com/photos/65238008@N03/7297555396/in/album-72....

On a beautiful sunny Sunday a passenger train heads south, linking Liège to Luxembourg via the magnificent valley of the Amblève river. The cows remain highly uninterested, the green grass must be way too good – and the last they will get for a couple of months.
