Carl wasn't one to back down on a challenge and this was definitely a challenge. Carl will be in traction for another six months, but, you can bet he'll be looking for his next challenge!

Compositionally Challenged Week 19 - Bokeh

Shot in Auto White Balance but I changed it to Tungsten in post because the color of the background bokeh didn't go well with the blue thread.

I’m not sure where this family came from or where they were headed. But there is a precious little space for walking between the highway and a mighty steep precipice on this portion of Route 1 in Marin County, California, USA. And the traffic was quite heavy when we were there last Saturday.

Compositionally Challenged Week 1 - Contrast

Low Contrast. We woke to dense fog. I grabbed the camera and went to my upstairs window. Just as I got there these geese flew over. In post I used a winter filter to add just a touch of color to the otherwise dreary scene. : )

Här kommer mitt bidrag till fotosöndags veckotemat - sprida.

Det var första (men definitiv inte den sista) gången jag har provat att tar kort på stålulls fotografering. Rätt så kul men tids kravande för en nybörjare.

Here comes my contribution to fotosöndag's weekly challenge - spread.

It was the first (but not last!) time I've tired to photograph burning steel wool. Good fun if somewhat time consuming for a total novice!

Stay strong and healthy everyone!

52 in 2024 Challenge #42 Knot

This challenge is to Photograph your image in portrait orientation.

I have a lot of buldings around here and found them good for the challenge, I liked the different colour brickwork and the fact that this house had 2 styles of chimney pots and a television arial!

My thanks to all who visit and comment it is appreciated

I have been obsessed with a large bag of sugar snap peas I bought, I found out after I bought them that no one in the house cares to eat them so I have been racing to finish eating them before they go bad. They were very good models for this challenge.

This M.I.T sweatshirt is something I can date back to at least the age of 15. It is pretty battered and holey. It has all kind of stains, including one from a pretty bad nose bleed I had when I was in college.

I focused a lot of my energy as a young adult on getting into a really good college, but then changed mymind...

This is the descendant of a Harvard sweatshirt I had that belonged to a friend of mine who passed away. It was stolen from my workplace when I was 14, so I decided to replace it with M.I.T. I was probably watching a little bit too much Good Will Hunting at the time.

It's very comfy, and this challenge is a good excuse to wear it today.

Week#123 - Before & After - I love reflections. This was taken at McLaren's Falls in Tauranga awhile back while shooting fall/autumn photos and I have used the resulting photo in another recent challenge. I obviously turned the photo upside down first then I worked in PSE15 using the b&w newspaper treatment and posterized it to enhance it in order to create an illusion, which is always such fun for me. I do like to simply create, when I have the time!!

Wakering Photography Group Vintage Printed Challenge.

Military Odyssey Show Maidstone Kent.

This show of Military Odyssey celebrates it’s 17th year, with groups covering a vast period of global history.

This was an ideal opportunity to capture some vintage images for our groups October printed challenge.

This is typical of a rural police station set up for the WW2 duration and into the post war years.

They are a challenge for aspiring macro-photographers, so I had to have one. With some patience you’ll find them on a leaf somewhere not to wet. And then the real challenge begins, finding one that stays in focus. A great sport I thought.

THANK YOU FOR VOTING FOR ME! =)

this is for an edit challenge...I didn't take this photo...if you think it's good, you can vote for me.. just click the link below...I'm #7...thanks!

Challenge #184

When Traci rang the doorbell holding onto an almost unconscious Cannon, I was alarmed and worried. I said, "What's going on, Traci?" Turns out Cannon was still groggy with anesthesia after having his wisdom teeth surgically removed. The surgeon gave instructions of how to take care of him. He was loopy for a while but then started to come out of it. These are the "Unexpected Moments" I'm not crazy about. Was nice to have his mother around to take care of him!

Came across this team recently, so I thought I'd take a quick photo of the group! It's such a weird group, but the more I think about it the more it really works out!

Tantos retos y tantas cosas por hacer cada día que me pasa el día volando. Ayer uno de los temas del día era "alcayatas, clavos o tornillos". Esta ha sido mi aportación.

Bendita fotografía !!!

Due to the quarantine and lots of friends photography speaking today's challenge was "spite" and that was my contribution.
