Create a portrait that expresses isolation in circumstances that are not isolated.

I really struggled with this challenge and I don't quite know why because its one I really looked forward too and had a few ideas for. I seem to have lost my iPhone photo mojo as nothing I tried seemed to work. This is the best of a bad bunch and the only shot that made it past the finish line to flickr. I need to sort my head out and then maybe I'll revisit this again.

My 2004 Acura TSX parked next to a 1970 Dodge Challenger.
On my way to a happy hour at a local bar, I was stalking empty parking spots when I saw this Challenger parked away from the main cluster of cars. Having just seen Grindhouse, where it features prominently, and being a car fan, I wanted to take a few pictures, so I parked next to it and made sure that my Batmobile can be found in the shot.
Point-and-shoot, indeed.

Memento - another word from my list. That poor dessicated bunch of flowers is my corsage from my daughter's wedding 10 years ago - and I'm making a very bad job of reproducing it in coloured pencil - I could have done it much easier in water colour but this is a CHALLENGE!

Cascades Climate Challenge is a youth program designated to teaching students about climate change, learning outdoor skills and personal leadership.
I spent four nights out of the three week course with a CCC group. We learned about organic farming, where our food comes from and helped pull weeds and harvest pees at Blue Heron Organic Farm. We searched for amphibians near Baker Lake and with much success found many. The students also had an amazing opportunity to snow shoe up Mt. Baker so see and learn about Easton Glacier and climate change.

Okay, so I gave this recipe a fair shot - two in fact, even using the strange pan size called for! The first time when the timer first went off, the loaf looked (and tested) completely RAW. I stuck it back in at 5 minute intervals, and finally after an extra 20 a tester came out clean. Good thing too, because the top was almost burnt. I left it to cool as directed, coming back exactly 10 minutes later to find the loaf nothing more than a crater. Underneath the top 1 1/2 cm or so was nothing but batter.
So, I tried again (don't know why), adding more flour even though the initial dough resembled my go-to recipe's makeup. The same thing happened - at least 15 extra minutes in the oven, a hard top crust (though I tented it with foil halfway through baking) and nothing but goo in the bottom half. Sorry Anna, I love your shows and I'm definitely visiting your bakery this summer, but your written recipes stink in the home kitchen.
