This cedar tree was 'loaded' down with tiny clumps of pinecones that look like fists or cauliflower. Cute little things.
I tried making this recipe again, using olives, as called for in the original recipe. I'm not a fan of the olives, but Darren really liked it.
In 2008 we started growing vegetables from Italian seeds, this was one of my picks - Purple Cauliflower! It is very mild and delicately flavored.
I made this back in December and the sorrel in my garden was still going strong. I had forgotten about it, but these pictures have reminded me that winter has arrived. The sorrel finally went dormant.

America's Test Kitchen style. Pretty good, but cauliflower is inherently bland, and the brown-butter sauteed cauliflower topping is a definite necessity. Easy to make, but pretty time-consuming.
