Stone cut for pewter casting project. You can see what a mess it is. :) For buttons, I'll be making a three-part mold (like the one on the left), so I still have to cut the back plate of the mold in half, but I want to do some sanding first. Off to the store for sand paper!

Bom dia meninas, tudo bem?
Por enquanto o sol estå lindo e brilhante por aqui, mas da até medo porque a tarde vem chuva brava que nem ontem.
Depois do parto que foi tirar a cola daquele adesivo que usei, fiz as unhas e fiquei em dĂșvida entre 3 esmaltes, o casting - eliana, o madagascar - cora e o sereia da Qtock, daĂ resolvi pedir para o namorado decidir jĂĄ sabendo qual seria o resultado nĂ©, pq ele detesta verde (CORINTHIANO FEELINGS :( ) e roxo diz que gosta pra agradar mas sabem como Ă© nĂ© kkk, eu estava muito afim desse esmalte e ainda bem que ele escolheu, porque vou confessar que ele Ă© muito divo, super fĂĄcil de passar e cobertura perfeita na 2ÂȘ camada (adoooro), e claro estĂĄ com o roxinho da colorama por cima pq eu jĂĄ ia dormir. E nĂŁo ele nĂŁo Ă© mutante sĂł nas fotos, em cada ambiente com iluminação diferente ele fica um tom diferente.
Achei chique d+ essa cor, to me sintindo PHINA.
Vou colocar mais uma fotinha daqui a pouco mas nĂŁo tem nada a ver com unha :)

Just to clarify a little, casting is a process in which you take pieces made of modelling wax or that are organic and which are later placed in a metallic cylinder that is filled with cast. This is all 'cooked' in an oven for 4 hours approx. During this time, the cast dries out, hardens and the wax and organic thingies disintegrate, leaving an exact mold behind. After the 4 hours, the metal flask is taken out of the oven and placed in a centrifugal (sp??) machine in which the metal you are using is melted, and when the engine is turned on, the force of gravity makes the molten metal go into every little crevice in the cast mold. The flask is then immersed slowly in water (making a funny deep frying sound and bubbles), and VoilĂĄ! your pieces are ready to finish and wear.
Para aclarar un toque, el casting es un proceso por el cual se toman piezas de cera o de material orgĂĄnico y se ponen en un cilindro de metal que se rellena con yeso (por eso se dice casting, de "cast"), y todo esto se cocina en un horno por 4 horas mĂĄs o menos. Durante ese tiempo, el yeso se endurece, y las piezas de cera se desintegran, dejando un molde exacto. Por Ășltimo, se saca el flask del horno y se pone en una centrĂfuga donde se derrite el metal que se va a usar, y al prenderse el motor, la fuerza de gravedad hace que el metal rellene todos los huecos que dejĂł la cera en el yeso.
