This is a small Net Casting Spider holding its net at the ready.

More resin casting (or a first attempt at). There are sequins, aluminium, tinfoil (not pictured, but I just realised that the bottom left one was empty so chucked some in) and silica gel beads.

The original is transferred to the first half of the mould, along with the lego and cocktail stick used to make a reservoir and channel. A 1x1 lego brick was used to make alignment sockets in the clay when I made the first half.

The mould box is built around the first half and everything is sprayed with release compound, though I wiped it off the flint to try to maximise detail.

eh. i had to prop the camera precariously on a fence to get this. i really like the building, really like the shadow, but i'm not too taken by the composition nor any crop i can pull here. so, eh.

The furnace lit with no problems. The noise from the jet was deep and loud. The melt has slumped here: 3 minutes to pouring.
