Pinnacle Peak casts its shadow upon a neighboring mountain as the sun sets over Scottsdale, Arizona. The view is from the city-owned Pinnacle Peak Park looking eastward. Pinnacle Peak is a granite summit with an elevation of 3,169 feet and a prominence of 600 feet.
Amy's 1st belly casting. She was pregnant with her 3rd son and wanted it painted to match the sports theme in the baby's nursery.Her belly happened to be perfectly round like a ball so this worked well for her.
The casting was taken aprox 4 weeks before her due date. .I finished this on Christmas eve 2005.I had a blast making it :oD

I love when my wife tells me she's in the mood to shoot. She wanted a sexy Halloween followed by some colored chalk powder shots. Sounds very good to me. We had never done a chalk powder shoot so we practiced with all purpose flour first. It was fun but very messy. We were still cleaning flour off the walls and floor weeks after the shoot. We both liked how the photos turned out and I see doing more of these shoots in the future.
I took these photos in our garage in Star, Idaho, in September 2020.

Hubby and I did a casting of our hands. I put the rings on the casting so you can see what they look like and how detailed the casting is.
The net casting spider catches its prey by throwing a "net" made of web material over it. Note the large forward-facing eyes which give the spider excellent night vision.
I’ve had a copy of Knitting for Dummies on my bookshelf for at least three years now. I planned to learn to knit to keep myself occupied backstage. (One has a LOT of downtime when cast in a musical’s chorus.) I play the lead in my next (non-musical) production, so I doubt I’ll be knitting backstage, but I chose the present to finally learn. After spending yesterday afternoon “casting on” over and over again, I decided to give the next step (actual knitting!) a try. I was dismayed to find that my second knitting needle is missing. I can only blame the kitties for hiding it overnight.

I went out to get new knitting needles this morning. I bought size 9 this time, hoping that my other 10 will eventually be recovered. I undid yesterday’s knots (no great loss, as you can see below) and cast on again. Now I’m stumped on the knitting portion. I’ve tried both the English and Continental style and just don’t understand what it means to “bring the new loop through the old.” Thankfully, I’ll be visiting a knitter next Sunday.

The mould was probably used for casting dress pins using an overlay technique. Dress pins of this kind were usually gilded with silver or gold.

After some early tests the had fixed results I decide the best way to cast these larger parts was to first cast each half separately. This helped to ensure that there weren't any spots where it was too thin. After this was done for both halfs of the cast, I then closed the mold and poured the seam.

Bueno, hoy hemos hecho el casting en una clase de segundo de primaria para hacer un ejercicio de clase, la grabación de un espot de publicidad :)
Aqui os pongo a todos los niños, nos teneis que ayudar a seleccionar a los niños, necesitamos 2 niñas y 1 niño, por las caras vereis quien es más pillo y mas salao q otro.....
