Lighting info
This was a setup with five lights involved.
One gridded 5-foot Profoto softbox as fill on-camera axis. A white Profoto gridded softbox as main light from above. Two strip softboxes as rim lights and a gridded beautydish as background light.
All gelled with CTB except for the main light which had no gels.

I was really pleased with this shot after I edited it. The complete silhouette effect was just a little too lacking detail for me, and bringing up some light kept the drama, but provided a little more interest.
This July day in 2013 was one of the prettiest I've seen anywhere, and the boys fishing were the perfect subjects for the shot.
This area was completely burnt through a few years ago from a large forest fire. This is the spot where we helped to establish and build a new cabin for intrepid adventures.
Sunday Fishing on JingJi Hu lake. I walked around the lake watching the Sunday fishermen casting away, they have this unique style, fishing with extra long rods, and casting with a big wide motion. I caught this "big one" just at the right moment. :-)

Pêche du dimanche sur le lac Jingji Hu. J'ai fait le tour du lac en regardant les pêcheurs du dimanche lancer leurs lignes, ils ont ce style unique, la pêche avec de longues cannes à pêche, et jeter la ligne avec un grand mouvement. J'ai attrapé ce «big one» juste au bon moment. :-)

For some reason unknown, the intense passion for collection is significantly waning, probably due to the incoming financial concerns and the significant lack of space. New purchases are drying up at a rapid pace. That said, this casting was one that made me wait for so long. Boy it did not disappoint that tiny bit. Both variants are bone stock catalogue-spec, and the details are insane.

A shot from the streets around the incredible Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Yep it's a shot of random people walking down the road in to the sun! But I loved the shadows and the way the sun was lighting the road and pavement.

The handsome old bandstand in Peel Park, Kirkintilloch (on the north of Glasgow), with the low winter sun right behind it casting shadows.
This was the first fly fishing experience for most of my co-workers. Here, Stacie practices casting on land before heading into the river.
