Here's how I went about harvesting worm castings for the first time. I scooped up what looked to be ripe soil in a "finished" corner of my worm box and put it in a bucket. I then dumped it out on a tarp to form a little mountain. I left it out in the sun for a half hour. The worms headed for the coolest region—straight down—and I scraped worm castings off of the top. By the time I had made it to the bottom—yes, I know, this is not exactly Everest, but I was working slowly and carefully on this first test run—a whole mass of worms was down there, so I collected them and put them back into the bin.
What casting directors really want
Had a shoot with young actor Jordan Billings.
We met up in his home town of Newton Le Willows. He travelled down from his acting studies at Preston University.
Casting directors and agents had given Jordan advice on the images required for professional actors' listings on Spotlight, Starnow and for casting in general. They want clean, professional headshots, so casting directors know what they're getting.
With the mobile studio set up, we captured a good range of images, giving Jordan plenty to choose from.
Jordan is an absolute gentleman and has a lovely family.

We have numerous bird baths at Hungry Holler Art Refuge. This bath is one of the most popular. It's a concrete casting from a real elephant ear leaf out of my garden. It's 37 inches long and 25 inches across the widest part. As it ages, the concrete patina grows ever more beautiful.
I was cleaning off my SD cards, and found a couple more pictures from shooting A Little Help in NY. this is our casting wall, where as people got roles, their pictures were pinned up so we could see the looks of the family units we were creating, and the environment.
Cold casting the Aluminum. Aluminum powder is first brushed into the mold, then ONYX polyurethane resin is poured in.
7oz of lead and a squid bait will put a bend in most rods, even a Conoflex Tournament Extreme!!!!

In 3045, the most rare and valuable possessions are the flora and fauna harvested from the well guarded private collections of the richest and most powerful and from the furthest corners of the grid. These are combined with items crafted from plastic, metal, computer and cybertronic debris in an attempt to bring vivaciousness and joy to a dark world.

I so loved this scene at the end of the pier at Avila Beach in California. It was so foggy that morning. I imagined this guy sitting there in front of a blank canvas, his fishing poles as brushes, painting whatever he chose to imagine.
I miss the coast. :)
CBMM welcomed nationally renowned sculpture artist and Shepherd University professor Christian Benefiel, who guided workshop participants through the intricacies of casting bronze and aluminum, including creating molds, working the sand and furnace, and pouring molten metal. an unfortunate patch of my hand where some alganate dried slightly before it was covered with the rest. my hand does not actually look like that
I play a healer in WOW and wanted to feel like I was casting some heals IRL. I feel that this is what it would look like.
My 2nd belly casting . I was pregnant with our only daughter Sunee. I went a little "pink crazy" after having 3 boys so I made this as girlie as possible. I wanted it to look like a beautiful shirt(like what preg. stars would wear to the Oscars).

I did Melanie's belly casting about 2 days after I did Amy's (November 2005).She said she wanted pastel colors, flowers(peony, dahlia etc),a baby and butterflies. She gave me a 3D sonogram photo to give me an idea of what her baby looked like.I did a lot of research on the flowers by looking through flower catalogs and printing pictures from the internet. The most stressful thing was painting the baby since I hadn't done portrait art for a while.I like the "softness" of the colors in this one.
