Between SW 9th and 10th, the buffered lane becomes a regular bike lane as the street briefly becomes two-way.
The new buffered bike lanes were installed this weekend on SW Stark and SW Oak in downtown Portland
An example of a buffered bike lane in Portland: separated from traffic and parked cars by buffer zones on both sides.

We designed our buffers clean up your sound and allow the maximum tone from your pickups and cables to your amp. Low output impedance can send the signal through long cables without losing response and top frequencies. Not operable with battery.
Installation of saturated buffer in Story County, Iowa, on land farmed by Justin Hanson. A water control structure is a key component; it either diverts water from field tile to the perforated tile that runs parallel to the stream--which saturates the buffer-- or allows water to bypass the buffer, depending on how many panels are inserted into the structure to divert flow.

I know it's a well-worn railway photography cliché but I've never tried it before.
Alstom Coradia LINT 2-car unit operated by Leo Express slows on approach to Kvetasaurus, apologies, Kvetoslavov with Os 4318 Dunajská Streda to BHS service. This siding at the eastern end of the railway station is occasionally used, a track maintenance machine being parked there on the previous weekend.
Buffer - noun: 'a person or thing that reduces a shock or that forms a barrier between incompatible or antagonistic people or things'
Installation of saturated buffer in Story County, Iowa, on land farmed by Justin Hanson. Dan Jayne of USDA ARS inserts panels into a water control structure. The panels divert water from field tile into tile that run parallel to the stream, saturating the strip of land bordering the stream. Native prairie plants seeded in the buffer then remove nitrates from the water.

The main boom buffer of schooner Adventure in 2016. The weight of the main boom and main sail with the added momentum of them swinging over while changing tack put a tremendous strain on the end of the boom sheet. The buffer absorbs much of the shock.
Remnants of the old railway line are still visible on the Coastal Link path along the River Adur in Shoreham. I liked the warm rusty colour on this buffer in this evening's light - slowly being reclaimed by the undergrowth.
