First entry to Brickscalibur 2023, in the Magical Minifigures category :)
Always a treat to do a figbarf, and quite a challenge to get the floating spheres without using photoshop, haha! Hope you like them, should be another fun contest this year.

Like what you're seeing? You can win this MOC in this year’s Brickscalibur! Consider entering the Far East Elegance category and this might just be yours! Will you join us?
Long, flowing robes and LEGO bricks really don't mesh. But this samurai just had to have that elegant pose – so much more fun than the stereotypical armor one expects!
Here's my 4th entry for Brickscalibur, in this case for the Trading Places category. This LEGO MOC is loosely inspired by the city of Riften from the game Skyrim. The main market area is at the higher level around the tree, with a fruit stall, a blacksmith and a fabrics vendor. Some more shady activities are running at the river below.

When Aron and Widogast (the monster hunter) met in the Golden Crown Inn in Rindael, Widogast made a deal with Aron (who is known to only go after dragons) to hunt a cockatrice, which is best described as a two-legged dragon, wyvern, or serpent-like creature with a rooster's head, so at least part of it was a dragon.
"Drinks on me when you bring me a cockatrice head." said Widogast.
"Only drinks?" asked Aron.
"Well, you may keep the bounty too." replied Widogast "or are you afraid of it?"
Aron: "No way, I'll get you that cockatrice head, I am not affraid of some chicken."
"Okay, deal, may luck be on your side then." said Widogast jokingly.
"Ha, where I'm going I don't need any luck." replied Aron.
A cockatrice was recently spotted on the border of Faldia and the Daelen near the Whispering Woods.
Aron's preparation included polishing his armor, and putting a special mirror coating on his shield. But when he finally reached the place where the creature was spotted, he couldn't believe his eyes, no report made mentions of the size of the beast. Trampling the fence near the path, the beast almost was the same height of a nearby tree.
"That dammed Widogast, he knew the size of that beast, I'm sure of it..." thought Aron. "Well, here I go..."

My entry for the perspective matters-category in Brickscalibur.
“Many of the guards became witnesses as the captain followed his own cousin over the inner courtyard outside the barracks. Golodhin dropped his sword and fell in his haste to flee his treacherous actions against his kin and brothers in arms.”
Hydronius the wizard and his old rival Pyros finally found the perfect opportunity to settle the score once and for all, both summoned an elemental dragon to fight alongside them when they met on the tournament of wizardry.
Both mages clad in their dark robes, with their elemental dragon besides them were to face off in an epic duel, neither would want to forfeit.

Brickscalibur may be over but while we're preparing the announcement of the winners, there are still a few more trophies to unveil. Here's the one for "The Enchanted Forest" - the poor mouse!
A tiny daydreaming poet in a magical forest – he just had to sit on a toadstool, right? Really happy with the pose on this one!
"The Monarchs' Liberator - The Tyrant Has Been Vanquished"
"Princess Seraphine faught valiently to free the Monarch Kingdom from the tyrant bird, Screech, who had devoured their people for far too long. After a swift victory there is finally peace once more thanks to this mighty mouse..."
Built for Brickscalibur 2024 for the Digitalibur category. I haven' done as much digital building as I normally do throughout a year so it was nice to work on this project and scene depicting a female warrior mouse who has slain the bird enemy of the Monarch Kingdom and is greeted in peace by one of the butterflies. This was created using Bricklink Studio, Cinema 4D, and took 4 days to complete. All made possible with Greyscalegorilla Plugins and Puget Systems machine.
Years have passed, tears were shed
For a ruthless long war
Covered the sky blood red.
Fierce Leo, now man, were to honor his bloodline.
He became a lord, led armies with his sword.
All those fiery battles and his greed for conquest,
Had left the nation miserable, never at rest
Modest Mia, a woman so kind and tempered
Felt abandonned by his friend, for she lived on the curb.
Outraged, maddened, a cold blizzard covered the land
Mia was out for vengeance, came for the king's head.
Even in their youth, fire and ice clashed for games,
Many years after, those forces clash once again.
Of all those memories, and this once happy place
There shall only remain ashes, and tragic fates.
Part 2 of the Brickscalibur 2024 collab category with lego.pepijn !
Check out part 1 on his page.
Another entry for brickscalibur, this time in the microscale category. Inspired a bit by my buddy Fullplates old build (you can´t really see it at this angle, but the river flows with a pretty sweet curve, haha!). Hope you like it!

Where there is treasure, there is desire for it. And the dwarves had many treasures, entire halls full. But they weren't the only ones who were obsessed with gold: the dragons of the north also lusted after the sparkling gold. So it happened that they had to flee from their deep halls and narrow passages. Homeless, they wandered through the lands, but not without taking with them as much gold as they could carry. But out there, in the deep moors, there was something else lurking that coveted the gold...

Had a lot of fun designing the irregular hexagonal base, hope you like it!
Here's my first entry for the 2024 Summer Joust, 12x12 vignette category. This vignette is a call back to a vignette I did 3 years ago for Brickscalibur, another barrel accident, similar setup, but improved style and techniques. The landscape and greenery is improved, the road turned into a river with waterfalls, the water mill sits on slight angle.
Here's the behind the scenes video:https://youtu.be/pVOn0uZvmxc
A medieval figbarf, consisting of the King himself, the Queen, some guards, a jester, the royal hairdresser, the treasurer and of course the court beggar.
You may ask what is a court beggar, well that is a person that get's paid by the king to receive alms, so that the king looks good to his people, when he leaves court he has to return the money, but he gets free food for the day.
Build for the Brickscalibur minifig category.
The Arcana Vanguard
The Hermit - An erudite and elusive man, expert in potions and healing medicine.
The Hanged Woman - An extravagant thief and curious character. She likes to hide herself as a hanged victim, only to make her deed at the most appropriate moment.
Death - A mysterious mercenary from the East, travelling on a pale white horse.
The Magician - A powerful wizard full of tricks ! Her fire invocations and mischievous spells will keep the team out of harm's way.
Justice - A blind warrior who must not be underestimated, for her blade strikes as promptly as her judgement. She's the fearless leader of the Arcana Vanguard.
The Fool - A halfling bohemian who always follows this party, he seems to always be followed by dogs. His joyful spirit and tunes always cheer up the group.
Made for Brickscalibur 2024's "Adventuring Party" figbarf category.
I will go back to Gotham and I will fight men like this
...but I will not become an executioner.
This was built for the RebelLUG Batman Begins collab, but also fits the Far East Elegance category of Brickscalibur!
Can you spot the 5 hidden minifigures and 9 swords?
Here's my 1st entry for the Iron Forge and the 5th for Brickscalibur (Where's Waldo category).
If you scroll you can find close up pictures of both minifigures and swords.

The end of the year always seems to sneak up on me, but here is an overdue recap.
I finished 36 MOCs and Sci-fi and Castle remained my most built subjects. Also had the pleasure of seeing two more Minecraft sets released: 21176 and 21183.
As usual many of the models were inspired by community events or contests: Space Jam, Febrovery, Guilds of Historica, RogueOlympics, Mech Monday, SHIPtember, Novvember, the CCC, BricksCalibur, and the RogueBricks Bauble Exchange were all a great amount of fun to participate in and resulted in several of my personal favorite builds.
With plenty of help from friends, John and I were able to host the Summer Joust again, and have our minds absolutely blown by the quantity and quality of the entries. It's crazy to see how much the event has grown over the past 6 years!
In September I was able to attend Skaerbaek Fan Weekend for the first time and I hugely enjoyed getting to talk with so many other builders and see their work in person. Can only recommend the event if you are able to go!
Special thanks to Johannes, Jonas, and Markus for letting me stay with them.
I was thankfully able to visit family for the holidays, and John and I took advantage of some of that time to build two models together.
Most popular builds:
Everdell Castle: 356 Faves, 21 Comments
Tryandal: 325 Faves, 18 Comments
Life in Allanar: 288 Faves, 12 Comments
Personal favorites:
Comierre Battle Cruiser, Everdell Castle:, and Slumbering Giant.
Thank you all for continuing to inspire me to keep building and supporting my efforts!
Would love to hear if you had a favorite model :)
One of last year's more popular Brickscalibur trophies was my little poet. It felt like a fitting choice for a color variant to be donated to this year's Creations for Charity.
If you are interested in owning this little dreamer, the store opens tomorrow, October 15th.
And if you'd rather win a trophy, we have something for that, too: Brickscalibur returns November 1st and with it a colorful array of trophies to be won!
Check out the website and join our dedicated discord to have some castle fun in the coming months!
PS: The Brickscalibur Grant is available until October 31st. If you have a smaller collection this might be for you – all the information is on the website!
Gotta bewitch them all!
I teamed up with www.flickr.com/photos/188485803@N06/ and we did some wizardly Pokémon!!
I did Squirtle and Charmander, Dan Ko did Pikachu and Bulbasaur
In the fantasy realm of Cretacia, humans once were at the top of the food chain and thrived alongside the wild living, mostly huge creatures they called Din'Athoria. Soon the human domisticated these beasts, keeping the large herbivors as kettle whilst training the smaller, more agile and intelligent carnivors (called Raptas) as hunting aides and the bigger, less smart but so much stronger ones for plowing fields for the endless mass of plants they needed to feed the large herbivors.
It was like that for 200 years and never did the scribes anticipate that this should ever change, but through the continuing training the Raptas got more and more intelligent, at some point gained conscience and more specific language and one day (the day the old and wise Fellow-Raptas now call the day of the free claw) the Raptas overthrew the humans and enslaved them. The new ruling species still keeps large herbivors as kettle (whereas only for the meat) and big carnivors as laborers, but the once so dominant and eloquent humans are now field hands, construction slaves, servants and sometimes pets. Under the heavy claws of their enslavers, every attempt of human interaction is stricktly forbidden for gruesome punishment follows and at some point, humans lost their clever ways, their community and language completely.
So, no riding dinosaurs in Cretacia, forget about that, chum!
What can be seen here is the great Fellow-Rapta Sir Veelo of the Long Tail, wealthy land owner and fodder producer, inspecting the daily field work on his estates. The human slaves don't have names, they wouldn't understand the concept anymore. They are supervised by Fastjaw of the Sharp Talon, a more humble but nevertheless as vicious Rapta, Sir Veelos foreman in charge of the daily crop growing enterprise.
This is a figbarf for the Brickscalibur 2022 contests Farmstead Figures category. And... this is a wrap! I participated in all of the six categories and it was a blast, I had lots of fun!! Thank you everybody, especially the people running this fine contest. See you at the Forge!
(Yep, there are swords in there^^)
A fantasy adventure where Lord of the Rings sort of meets Game of Thrones. The Snow Guardian is just too cool to be left out.
And yes I am double dipping for Nerdvemeber and Brickscalibur, Frozen wilds category.
I'm really happy about this LEGO creation and I also managed to add a couple of NPUs. The dragon was inspired by the horse battle helmet and i manage to add in some lightsaber and a sausage. I am quite happy also about the tree made with rifle and gun.

The Duke of Glannalt is brought to the Folviken.
Abductees are always brought to the lake fortress for safe keeping until a ransom is paid. High profile persons, such as the duke, are always high stakes; sometimes our work just plays into the hands of an opportunistic usurper. But the rewards for the Wolfpack are too good to pass up.
I created this MOC for the Over water! category of the CCC XIX. I had been planning such a MOC for a while, especially after
seeing Jonas Kramm's Wolfholm. The submission was also very fitting for the Brickscalibur Rogues and Outlaws.
Check out more information and pictures on my blog post. C&C welcome.
“In a small medieval town, there lived a boy named Leo, who had the special power of fire. His best friend, a girl named Mia, could control snow. They often played near the big gate of their town, laughing and having fun. Leo would create little flames that danced in the air, while Mia made beautiful snowflakes that floated around them. Their friendship was filled with joy as they enjoyed their unique abilities together.”
This is part 1 of the collab “From Friends To Foes” that I did with clockwork bricks for the “Elemental Emergency” category for brickscalibur and this is my fourth entry.
The following part is build by clockwork bricks.
Feel free to share, comment and like this picture. And have a good day!
"Steel isn't strong, boy. FLESH is stronger!" - Thulsa Doom, to Conan the Barbarian
Built for the Monarchic Minifigures category of the Brickscaliber contest. I have always been a big fan of the movie "Conan the Barbarian" (the original from 1982 that is). I was originally thinking of building Conan sitting on his eventual throne, with his cronies at his side... but then I thought that making Thulsa Doom and his entourage was a bit more interesting.
Like what you're seeing? You can win this MOC in this year’s Brickscalibur! Consider entering the Medieval Micro category and this might just be yours! Will you join us?
This year I wanted to go into a different direction for the micro category. Instead of an artisan creating a micro replica I decided on a warlock scrying on some poor soul far away – and why not do a tiefling while we're at it?
Oh deer! It looks like I only have time for one entry this round. Still, I suppose I should column down, after all, I did put a tree-mendous amount of efforst into this build.
This is my entry to round one of Iron Forge 2025, the seed parts (mudguards with only one wheel arch) were used a total of 22 times Although only about 19 of those times are visible in the picture (50947 x4, 50745 x8, 98282 x2, 28326 x8).
This build is also built for Brickscalibur for the "Tails from the Meadow" category.

The Fool - A halfling bohemian who always follows this party, he seems to always be followed by dogs. His joyful spirit and tunes always cheer up the group.
Made for Brickscalibur 2024's "Adventuring Party" figbarf category.
Inspired by artwork of Jenny Brozek, this wizard is the guardian of the forest and a friend to all its inhabitants.
My entry to Enchanted Forest Brickscalibur
I made this figbarf for brickscalibur for the category “Adventuring Party”.
As these five heroes are always on adventure to help others, they also need some time to rest. That’s why they are at the moment doing what each of them like to do. It is now time to relax!
First build for the second round of the 2024 Iron Forge. The seed parts are Cups and Goblets. I used 18 here. C&C always welcome, cya!
Matthais's epic fight against the giant adder, Asmodeus, to recover the lost sword of Martin the Warrior.
My entry for Brickscalibur's “Tails From The Meadow” category.
As soon as I saw this category I knew I wanted to build a scene from Redwall, one of my two favorite book series, the other being The Lord of the Rings of course:)
On the corner of marketstreet and kinglane stands Elena's small corner herb store.
Elena is a well known herbalist and is always traveling between the city and the woods and fields to gather herbs.
Build for the vignette (12×12) categorie of Brickscalibur.
She is ferocious, alluring and terrifying. She has dwelled in the deep caves of the underworld for centuries, maybe even millennia?
Farmhand Rupert milking, father Wilhelm on his way down to the valley with alp cheese on his back, son Walter snorting cheese and cuddling kittens, son Werner with scythe, mother Gertrudt butchering chickens and daughter Heidi with Peter's goat :-)
My entry to the Brickscalibur Farmstead Figures Category
You may see them again ...
The fantastical feast is held each year, at Majisto's castle, and no party is complete without a few uninvited guests.
Ogwen the dragon has escaped the dungeon and decided to also partake, because the guards were also at the party, Ogwen was only noticed when trying to enter the great hall.
--
What better theme to build a party for, then for the Dragon Masters which have their 30th anniversary this year.
Build for the "Fantastic Feasts and where to find them" category of Brickscalibur, as well as the "You’ve gotta fight, for your right, to Medieval Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarty!" category of CCCXXI.
For a long time I wanted a brick sky background. I have now realised it for the Brickscalibur „micro category“.
Family of farm workers on their way to work have to wait for the shepherd.
Entry for Brickscalibur Farmstead Figures en CCC XX's have a peasant day
