On the corner of marketstreet and kinglane stands Elena's small corner herb store.
Elena is a well known herbalist and is always traveling between the city and the woods and fields to gather herbs.

My entry to the Brickscalibur Farmstead Figures Category
You may see them again ...
For a long time I wanted a brick sky background. I have now realised it for the Brickscalibur „micro category“.
Family of farm workers on their way to work have to wait for the shepherd.

The fantastical feast is held each year, at Majisto's castle, and no party is complete without a few uninvited guests.
Ogwen the dragon has escaped the dungeon and decided to also partake, because the guards were also at the party, Ogwen was only noticed when trying to enter the great hall.

What better theme to build a party for, then for the Dragon Masters which have their 30th anniversary this year.
Build for the "Fantastic Feasts and where to find them" category of Brickscalibur, as well as the "You’ve gotta fight, for your right, to Medieval Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarty!" category of CCCXXI.

And with this trophy, this year's Brickscalibur comes to an end. This is the trophy for "The Crazy Goat-Cart Race" and tries to capture the winning entries by Cecilie and DR. Church!
All the results are now available for you on the website – head on over and see all the winners!
Thanks again for following along and partaking and making Brickscalibur such a fun contest to run!
My entry for Brickscalibur 2024's Tails from the Meadow category as well as a fifth for Iron Forge round 1. I made the characters solely for Brickscalibur, but I was having so much fun with the seed part that I threw in 6 for the chairs, 2 for the windows, and 4 for the candelabras.
My next entry to Brickscalibur, this time in the enchanted forest category. Finally got around to taking some pics, so more is on the way :)
My first microscale MOC, also an entry for CCC XX and Brickscalibur
It's also the first time I've used GIMP to edit my photo. :)

Figbarf of Farmers and Peasants for Brickscalibur's 'Farmstead Figures' category. I enjoyed building the base and posing the figures a lot, and enjoyed photoshopping the background less.
I always hear that phrase describing animals, but does it apply to dragons as well?
This is an entry for The Enchanted Forest category of Brickscalibur 2023.
My second entry for this year’s Brickscalibur for the “Capturing Charakter” - Category.

Once, Mellir lived in a calm village, somewhere in the snowy mountains. He was a young, lively man, not yet burdened with the brutalities of war, but one day it came to his village. The king's heralds summoned him, and he rode off to war under the king's dark, red-striped banner. But he was unaware of the brutality of war. In the end he was alone, alone in the white snow under the trees of the eternal forest in the mountains. He was the last one from the army of the king, he fled alone.

Brickscalibur may be over but while the results are simmering and we're bussy preparing the announcement of the winners, there are still a few more trophies to unveil. Here's the one for "Magical Minifigures" - the poor mouse!
When I decided to include mice in all of the vignettes, it was kinda obvious how the witch would interact with it :D It was hard to squeeze in some color into this one – I hope I managed!
A bit less than last year, but still 64 builds.
As always the year started with some remaining Brickscalibur/CCC builds, like the monstrous scarlet mallow, and two entries for the SpaceJam.
Then came FebRovery, Marchikoma, Aquajune and the SummerJoust.
Also made some Chibi figures in-between.
This year, a lot of time has been in creating and perfecting the builds I brought to the New Hashima collab at Bricking Bavaria.
Ending the year with NoVVember/Wander skies and Brickscalibur/CCC again.
--
For next year, I think a lot of the same themes will come around again, I also already made some plans for a new cyberpunk building, so you can look forward to that.

Do you have a favorite build, let me know in the comments and let's build some more in 2025.
The humble scrivener is a skilled laborer tasked with making copies of documents by hand. The less humble scrivener makes copies of the peculiar and sorcerous documents trafficked by wizards.
The work of capturing magical energy in writing is, of course, quite hazardous. Magical scriveners (top left) must wear heavy protective garments to mitigate the effects of prolonged exposure to untamed sorcerous energies. Particularly of note are the specialized blinders which prevent their mind from taking in the entirety of their work at any one time, an essential precaution against unwittingly activating a dire curse or untimely oracle.
A magical scrivening guild cannot be sanctioned without a designated warden. These stouthearted fellows are mundanes tasked with quelling accidents that may spill over into the community. The most prestigious halls maintain this position as a birthright among a family attached to the institution, their sons raised to be so profoundly illiterate that they would fail to comprehend even a crude pictogram, nevermind a blasphemous rune of arcane power. Top right can be seen shooing a rogue tome from a supply shelf.
The headmaster of this guild can be seen discussing a commission with a patron (bottom left). Notice his unnatural appearance caused by overexposure to magic. The headmaster is glad he is merely bald.
Finally, bottom left shows us the greatest danger in the guildhall- apprentices! Too often supplied as starry eyed children who believe they have a Chosen Destiny, by Zoz the Ancestral they can't even do the menial work right!
Deep in the mountains lies a small shrine of the water god on the edge of a lake between the blooming cherry trees.

Closing 2023 with a microscale castle on a japanese looking landscape.
The building is inspired by the Himeji castle and I tried to include a sort of forced perspective.

My entry for this year’s „Adventuring Party”– category of Brickscalibur.
Might seems like all these different characters can hardly fit together, but one thing is connecting them: The will to defend the world from the shadow that rises in the deep dungeons of the three mountains.
Bottom, left to right:
-A dark thief, waiting alone in the shadows of narrow streets. She never had any fellows and lives from stolen gold from the riches.
-Kela & Aran: Son and daughter of a carpenter from the Heverlands. One day Aran finds a mythical broken sword, that will chance everyone’s live.
-A defender of the hidden fortress, a familiar of the god Agùr, carrying a secret plan of the black archives, that no one should ever see
-A sword-wielding elf from the woodlands, ready to destroy any trace of shadow in the light of the elves
Top, left to right:
-Daline: A Tiefling-Dwarf from the deep mines under the mountains, getting her power from the mighty crystals of Nidavim
-An old general of the disfigured Skradian kind, no longer willing to sacrifice the lives of his charges for the shadow in the three mountains
-A Thae from the Talon Mountains, one of the last from the oldest and wisest race of the world

Perched atop a waterfall, this is one of the strongest fortresses in the Northern Aruthic Sea. The waterfall provides a constant source of drinking water, a source of power, harnessed by the watermill inside, and a defense that makes all the rocks slippery for any invaders. The only way to get up to the castle is an long, open, guarded switchback, which is easily held against attackers. A village has grown up on the nearby island of rock, boasting two neighborhoods and a chapel. A variety of boats and carts are constantly making the journey up to the keep to sell their wares.

This was built for the Medieval Micro category of Brickscalibur and the Castle of Tears category of CCCXXI.
Thanks for checking it out,

There isn't much for a kid to do on a medieval farm aside from chores, So Sven and his friend Leif decided to have race using their favorite farm animals, just like ancient Romans they'd heard about in the old stories! Who will win, Sven and his Goat or Leif and his pig?
This is my and Cecilie's entry for the collaborative category of Brickscalibur - The Crazy Goat-Cart Race'! We took the overall title for the category rather literally, but took the 'crazy' part to heart and chose to scale our figures up to match the 'Scaled-Up' figures put out by LEGO.
But we didn't stop there! In my seemingly idiotic goal to motorize nearly every build I do these days, the carts are driveable (see below)! Cecilie and I worked together to design a wheel and I worked on a simple two-motor setup that drives using tank steering.
A big thank you to Cecilie for going along with my insane idea,
please be sure to check out her companion build! And if you're at Brickworld Chicago in June we intend to race them in real life!
My first entry for the Magical Minifigures category of Brickscalibur.
From left to right:
- Farbauti, wild druid, and his faithful warg ;
- Falmond Hoog, artificer, and his masterwork the Crystal Golem ;
- Alrune d'Embervale, imperial battlemage and necromancer, animating a recruit ;
- Bérangère de Belloy, enchantress, and her mighty familiar ;
- Sedri Raedh, demonologist, invoking a lesser demon ;
- Amlach, wizardry researcher, and an experimental abomination.

Rich is the man who does have so little wealth, yet is lucky to be able to share it with his loved ones. Rich is not the man with a bucket of gold but rich is the man with the golden heart
Built for Brickscaliburs Coop category "Rich and Poor", in which i had to partner up with a fellow builder to make two MOCs in total. Thanks so so much for jumping in helpfully @Patric Gnepf so close to the finish line.

This is my seventh build for six categories of Brickscalibur, it has been a blast, people!!
I ended up with having 4 unfinished submissions for this year’s Brickscalibur sitting on my desk mid december. I guess I should’ve focused on making 1 or 2 good entry’s instead of 4 that Im not all pleased with…
“There’s a party to be thrown on the meadow and the guests have started to arrive!”
The idea for the owl is a steal from -soccerkid6 ‘s Everdell chapel.
Built for the Magical Minifigures category of Brickscalibur 2023.
Apologies for the large build in the middle, I was messing around with some glitter trans clear bricks and the portal ended up matching perfectly with my minifigures.
I gave these minifigures a middle eastern style, and tried to stick with a consistent color pallete.
I also lit up the portal, hopefully that effect is noticable.
I also used my 2 sand red bricks in the front, always happy to use those.
To God be all the Glory
Red Dwarf
"In ages past a comet passed by a red dwarf and myth has it that because of this, dark magic cursed the celestial rock. Whence it crashed onto the peaceful lands of Ardeth, a small band of 13 dwarves mined it for the unique red ore that was held within. Little did they know that it would place on them a dreadful curse imbuing them with powerful dark magic. From their glowing eyes, armored spikes, and their magical lava-like orbs they used as weapons, they were nicknamed the Red Dwarves.
An army of dwarves and elves banded together to fight the fearsome creatures but an entire battalion was wiped out by just a single Red Dwarf. A combination of dark magic, thick iron armor, and the fierce warrior spirit of a dwarf made these dreadful foes. Only 1 of the 13 was ever killed by the dragon, Morgrid at the cost of his very life.
Now the land these dwarves inhabit has been condemned as forbidden and anyone who wanders there must assume his life as forfeit as the likelihood of surviving an encounter with a legendary Red Dwarf, who roam the lands as a cursed zombie like being, is certain death."
Built for Brickscalibur for the Dwarf Tales category.
This is by far the most complex and heaviest builds I've done so far (15.4lbs). It has roughly 15k pieces and uses the Light my Bricks light kits.
I hope you enjoy this build.
"I am a dwarf and I'm digging a hole. Diggy, diggy hole..."
This is my final entry for brickscalibur in the “tails from the meadow” category.
After months of traveling, this adventurous hero had the destiny to reach this beautiful beach alongside a big cliff. It is very quit except the sound of rolling waves…
Feel free to share, like and comment on this build.
"Why would anyone venture into such a weather?"
Built for the Brickscalibur 2022 frozen wilds category.
Had a bigger build in mind but unfortunately didn't have the bricks to realise it.
One of my favorite (small) parts of our Pilgrim's Progress collaboration was the cute fluffy sheep, so when I looked around for something for this year's Creations4Charity, that jumped out at me. Built a little shepherd to go along with it!

“Although cold and bleak, the winter is home to some of the most beautiful sights of the year, none more magical than the Northern Lights. After a year’s worth of travel, our Captain enjoys a final rest next to a cozy campfire.”

The Black Falcon army moves quickly through the farmland, their presence barely disturbing the tranquil landscape. As they approach a small, narrow bridge, they are met by a modest but determined group of Lion Knights, standing firm in their defense.
Much of this scene was built for LOLUG's Castle Village Collaboration, but the bridge and this scene in the foreground were created for Brickscalibur's "Perspective Matters" category where the task was to create an immersive scene.
A Knight, a Dragon Slayer and a Bard - ready for the Brickscalibur Batte Chests!
The Battle Chests are available until October 31st. If you have a smaller collection this might be for you – all the information is on the website.
Finally got around to posting my revamp of one of my Brickscalibur entries (Trading Places category).
Horses are the dominant mode of transportation throughout much of Historica. Farriers are never short of work, with entire families taking up the trade. One such family are the Ogden family, with all three generations of men taking part in the family business. Though advanced in years, Josiah Ogden still has the prowess needed to tend to horse hoofs. His son, Johan Ogden, focuses on preparing horse shoes, while also teaching his own son, Jeremiah, the tools of the trade.
Many farriers will also accept centaur clients, with one such client being Brielle Valken on of her (much needed) days off! Healthy hoofs make a healthy centaur!
More for Brickscalibur :)
The annual feast saw knights from a variety of fractions, all coming together to celebrate the new year, and share a lovely meal together.
Had some fun getting all these figs together and making tables and chairs for everyone...it took a while...haha!
Anyways, hope you like it, take a look at the video for some more closeups youtu.be/w4fyv2H7nJw?si=35J2g1I-i7h6h4Aa
I built fewer MOCs this year than last: about 15 and some of of those were either extensions of previous creations or reused portions of those creations.
I enjoyed submitting entries for several awesome castle contests: CCC (2020 and 2021), Summer Joust, Guilds of Historica and one run by LOWLUG. Some MOCs submitted to Brickscalibur were not posted until 2022 and will appear in next years collage.
Overall, I was happiest to expand on my Batuhan Wall build. It has taken longer than I expected and I worry the next extension will take several more years at this rate.
The Abram Lincoln, Vampire Hunter castle was a last minute MOC for CCCXVIII and I was very pleased with how it came out. It was my second favorite of the year.
This brave knight takes his job a little too seriously.
Built for Brickscalibur 2024, category ‘Tails from the Meadow’.
Once upon a time, far away in the heart of the Enchanted Lands, there was a city.
A city of lights and wonders, a city renowned for its alluring balls and fascinating masquerades.
And in this city, there was a little mask-maker who had a secret...
This is my entry to the "12x12 Vignette" of Brickscalibur.
The lord giveth and the lord taketh away, especially the latter. To make a modest living the farmer's family is toiling hard year in, year out. The last winters were especially cruel, but the most dreaded season is autumn. It is then that the tax collector knocks on the door to collect a tenth of their belongings for a king in a far away castle. My entry for Brickscalibur 2022 in the category Farmstead Figures.
